That showcase was a total embarrassment after 2 years, no excuses for that cluster. I am really hyped for the Xbox showcase and Starfield Direct afterwards because I get lots of Game Pass announcements, the comfort in knowing all first party and many other Game Pass games will also come to PC when they launch or join the service so I can choose whether to play on my Xbox Series X or PC, and of course the first new Bethesda IP RPG in 20 years in Starfield. Oh, and I can also look forward to getting my Asus Rog Ally on June 13th right after the Xbox showcase so that I can choose to install native PC Game Pass games on the go at 1080p 120Hz instead of buying a Wifi local weird ass looking gadget that Jim Ryan pimped at the end of that mess today.
Xbox ecosystem for the win across the board for me all day and every day!

Can you imagine in another reality where the CMA weren’t morons and Microsoft were a bit more spiteful…ABK would have closed today and Diablo 4, Crash and Call of Duty would have gone Xbox exclusive.

Long story short, this showcase was my second lowest rated showcase of the current generation. I stopped rating them this generation. I go based on percentage. How many games were shown and how many am I getting out of those games. I do exclude PSVR 2, remakes/remasters and dlc/expansions to already released games.
25 games shown. 5 were for me. 20%. The 5 games were Final Fantasy XVI, Alan Wake 2, Dragon’s Dogma 2, Assassin’s Creed Mirage and Marvel’s Spider Man 2 with Spider Man 2 being my top game of the 5.

I decided to “watch” it. I’m going to play Halo to finish Season 3 pass and while doing so, I’ll have second monitor playing it until it reaches DD2 and Alan Wake 2. Then I’ll pause it and watch them. Heard those two are the highlights.

As someone without a PlayStation, that gave me no reason to buy one. As someone with an Xbox saw some games that I might try out.
That was objectively not great and if the Xbox showcase is anything like that, I’ll be a very sad gamer

PSVR2 needed more from this showcase imo. Some of the VR games looked cool (RE4, Crossfire), but none were system sellers.
