Sometime next year. So much good stuff still in my backlog and stuff to come, I’ll be busy on XSX. I said the same thing back in 2014 that I would get PS4 but that never happened. This time I do intend to.

While im trying to get a PlayStation 5 by Christmas, it’s for the same reason - just to play the exclusives.
I don’t like the look of either next gen console to be honest but Series X looks so much better and more importantly, was designed better.
Kena and Horizon 2 are games that I definitely want to play but like any other PS5 timed console exclusive that I want to play, I will be waiting for Kena to get released on Xbox Series X.
Oh damn…so you’ll potentially have a lot of exclusives to catch up on from PS4 and PS5.

Well, I did finish Uncharted 4 at mt brother’s place, but didn’t finish TLL, Horizon ZD, GoT, Detroit and so on. So yep, tons to play. Hopefully I can get them for a nice price around that time.
Except for Tsushima, you can easily get each game for $20 or less new on disc or digitally. By the time you do get a PS5, Tsushima will probably be around the same price as well.
You definitely a good amount of quality exclusives to play when the time comes.
I believe my brother bought Ghost digitally. And we’re absolutely going to use game share, so Ghost is probably already in the bag.

Been doing that since 2014. My brother bought a Xbox One in 2013 in Germany because he couldn’t wait, while I was managing fine with GTA 5 back then. So he bought all kinds of games already, so once Xbox One finally released in Holland in 2014 I had so many games, haha.
Man, I’m so glad that weird way of launching a console didn’t happen with One X and XSX.
Game Sharing is huge. Basically cuts every game that both parties want to play to half price. Yeah, worldwide launch is extremely important and definitely a huge positive here now for Xbox.

I ain’t buying a PS5 because it seems like this gen, their games will come to PC. Their model relies on unit sales so they need to expand outside their console base to turn a profit. You can already see those games coming on to Steam.
I’m in a good spot with Series X and a tricked out PC, Game Pass ties in the ecosystem on both platforms, my friends/progress moves with me and I can cross play with friends. I’m not going to spend a $500 paywall to play games on a fixed device when I can just play them on PC.
Where did you get this idea? I wouldn’t expect anything PS5 on PC for years
They clearly said they wanted to explore more options outside of PS, I assume after the success of Horizon Zero Dawn and Death Stranding on PC. It wouldn’t surprise me to see some PS5 exclusives launch day an date on the Epic store at some point in the future, and possibly the bigger games 6-12 months later.
I believe Atlus also said the same thing, after Persona 4 sold like crazy on PC.
You’re in for a surprise then, Jim Ryan being coy about it and seeing them adding more and more games on Steam is a signal that the internal strategy has definitely shifted. I wouldn’t be surprised to see their games on PC 6 months/12 months after release. Eventually leading to same day releases since Sony as a company depends on unit sales to turn a profit.

I doubt you see anything day and date. I’d expect more around a couple of years later, like Horizon was. Still, here’s hoping. I won’t have a PS5 this time

Same, I was thinking PS5 around 2022 when God of War 2 launches but it sounds more and more likely it will be on Ps4 so I guess it will wait. Actually I’ll probably wait for a PS5 slim, I really don’t trust the OG PS5 with those overclocks.
If they could do something like Game Pass PC with all their game 0-12 months after PS5 I would definitely sub and forget about the PS5. They’d still get more money from me since I always get my Sony HW and games used.
