PlayStation 5 |OT| This SSD has no limits

This is actually a different problem than most people are having.

btw, my nephew’s PS5 bricked today, he had to return it. I gave him his early xmas gift today though, a Series S with a shock blue controller.

Got the same combo for my kids, Series S + Shock Blue.

Just beat Miles. Fantastic game, great next gen showcase. Crashed my system though but all is thankfully ok.

What should I play next: HZD, Uncharted 4, Days Gone or GoW 2018?

GOW or Uncharted 4 are definitely great (watched both playthroughs on YouTube and loved them lol).

HZD is fine, but nowhere on the level of GOW. Uncharted 4 is just jaw dropping set piece after set piece and the gameplay is just alright if you’re into the tomb raider games, naughty dog games never have any deep gameplay anyway.

For me, I rated God of War, Days Gone and Horizon Zero Dawn a 9.5/10 and are my #2 - #4 ranked games of the PS4/Xbox One generation.

I would play Uncharted 4 first mainly because it released before the other three games and second, it was disappointing for me. Lost Legacy is far superior in my opinion.

Can’t go wrong either way though.

Thanks. Yeah, might have to do UC4. I loved the first 3.

Thanks for your rec. I’ve got Lost Legacy too so hopefully I enjoy both. I was a little nervous after Amy Hennig was fired, but it seems like the game still turned out great.

UC4 is definitely better than UC3. The pacing isn’t as good as UC2 IMO but it’s still great.

You’re welcome. I love Lost Legacy. I have it ranked it #5. Uncharted 4 was disappointing (won’t say why) for me to where I was happy that the series was going to be dead and buried. Playing through Lost Legacy brought it back from the dead for me because it’s what I wanted Uncharted 4 to be but wasn’t. Just make sure you play Lost Legacy after Uncharted 4.

Friend of mine just called me. The Mediamarkt in his city told him that open preorders won’t be until summer next year, Jesus christ. So all current upcoming shipments are all preordered.

He was told that he does have a chance of a XSX early December.

God of War is the best of those. Uncharted 4 is pretty great, and fighting robot dinosaurs is good fun as well. Haven’t played Days Gone

Definitely Uncharted 4 it’s a lot of fun. Then GoW.

I found HZD pretty but the gameplay didnt hold my attention. Same problem with Days Gone.

Thanks!

I’m so sorry to hear this.

You probably need support for DSC and FRL, this FRL alloys for four lanes to be used (rather than TMDS which uses 3 lanes and clock on the fourth). DSC is is useful because you can compress to reduce bandwidth, and transmit same amount of data over a shorter period which is what is needed for VRR. If 32Gbps is raw, then it means you need to subtract 20% for net bandwidth available. Or is that 32Gbps after the 8/10-bit encryption? You can still do VRR, but use 4:2:2 or 4:2:0 chroma formats.

VRR will be patched into the PS5 at a later date. It’s in the Sony FAQ

I recently beat 4. About 8 hours longer than it needs to be.

I really don’t like Naughty Dog Games lol. I like Uncharted 2/3 more than 4.

Reason?

Better setpieces. In UC4 they pull the same tank all the time and UC4 has waaay more down time… the gameplay is great but the boring no challenge climbing is fine as long it does not stretch such long like in this game. Also the plot is dumb, the enemy boring, the treasure nothing mystic and overall nah I don’t feel it.

Horizon Zero Dawn on the other side has a amazing plot. Logical twists and top notch world building. Exciting gameplay and so on. For the next game they should make the open world a bit more exciting.

Overall all I don’t like the way Naughty Dog games play out. I hate this argument… but TLOU is a fantastic game but literally the opposite of what I like.

The story there was done sooo freaking often in other media… I stopped playing somewhere I think

I hope Naughty Dog will make a more action game next time… this is their strength and I want to see that at a extreme.

I like TLoU, and loved the gameplay of TLoU2 - truly innovative stuff. But the story of TLoU2 makes me want to blow my head off. I’m a big fan of Horizon, but if I had to rank them GoW, U4, HZD would be my ranking. All are top notch games

Man, Horizon Zero Dawn was disappointing to me. Such a cool idea and such great combat, wasted on an open-world game. There’s nothing wrong with just making a linear set of levels sometimes.
