I hope you’re right, my DS4s are in a very poor state, they can barely hold a charge for even an hour =/
I would really like it if there were non-fancy PS5 third-party controllers, so there’s an option to not spend seventy bucks. I would normally assume that they will exist but with the whole “DS4 can’t work on PS5 games” thing but then the “you can disable the DualSense’s new features for accessibility purposes (which is great)” thing, it’s hard to make an accurate guess.
What the ps5 will do is take the 4k game downscale it to 1080p then the monitor will upscale it to 1440p. The image will be blurry. This is the kind of things I’ve come to expect from Sony that likes to use their consoles to sell their other products like tvs.
Well, not hopefully, Asobo can stay indie if they want (like Moon), but yeah if any studio had to join Xbox next, there would be no other top choice than Asobo, in the same way Bluepoint is for PS at the moment.
It’s not ideal. I don’t have my consoles setup on the family TV because the family is always using it. So I have my consoles setup in my office sharing my 1440p PC monitor. Setup is great for xbox but not for playstation.
PS5 reviews half out more like :), there are still embargoes on parts of the system according to the WP review
“Some elements of the PlayStation 5, however, are not yet reviewable due to embargoes posed by Sony Interactive Entertainment. These include certain online features and the Media tab on the home screen that opens up third-party services like Netflix and Disney Plus.”
