I think that’s the problem with social media. Those complainers seem like a majority but in reality, they are a vocal minority.
I always find funny that based on the current downtrend for VR, they are planning a rebound for 2028.
It seems First Contact Entertainment is shutting down this week too.
I wouldn’t mind VR if Microsoft were able to find a way to make a quest 3 work, but other than that it makes perfect sense for Microsoft to avoid
Disclaimer : I own a VR headset on PC.
My opinion is that this is not a mass market product at all, and nobody would have invested in VR and Metaverse if Zuckerberg did not invest billions in this venture, with currently a siprale of loss.
I recently plugged in my old PS4 to set up streaming to my new Steam Deck and was surprised to find that I have something like 14 bucks in credit on it.
Is there an actual list of PS4 exclusives that isn’t horribly out of date? I tried searching around but I keep seeing stuff like Yakuza 6 and Persona 5 Royal (both of which I 100%ed on Xbox) or stuff like God of War 2018 which is available on Steam. Even the exclusives section of the PSN store has stuff like Ghostwire Tokyo in it! I figure now is a good time to be looking since there’s a holiday sale.
(I have played Bloodborne)
Edit: It looks like inFamous Second Son (which is apparently not inFamous 2 which I played for 5 minutes and had to put down because it made me sick) might fit the bill. Is that a good game?
I finally joined the Dark Side and snagged a 5. The first thing I noticed is how snappy the ui is. The second thing I noticed is how good Ragnarok looks
.
Microsoft also lowered their fees earlier in the year.

Stumbled upon this. Thoughts?
PS is now only The Last of US, God of War, Horizon, and Spiderman.
Thats their Halo, Gears, Fable. Sony needs more game variety.
Man, the first 3 years of the ps4 weren’t it.
Impressive output for the PS5, especially considering how much more difficult and expensive games have become to make.
To me, it looks like it went reverse. Slow start for PS4 but Year 4 or Late 3 come with great stuff. Strong start for PS5 but now slowing down greatly.
Zuby posts this on a weekly if not more basis. It’s highly inflated due to remasters and timed exclusive games. As someone who’s keeping track of both Sony and Microsoft first party releases, it’s 17 to 13 through 2023 in favor of Microsoft. Exclusive wise, it’s 11 to 10 through 2023 in favor of Microsoft.
Excluding all the padded remasters and timed exclusive games, I would say that both platforms have had an impressive output albeit a little more in favor of PlayStation due to the contracts that Microsoft had/has to honor.
I know people here want to believe this but it’s really not slowing down. Their internal studios may miss 2024 but they have a ton of first party games from external studios and a lot of third party exclusives - most of which are not timed exclusive.
In the first three months of 2024, I personally have Granblue Fantasy Relink, Final Fantasy VII Rebirth and Rise of the Ronin for PlayStation 5 while as of now, I don’t have a single console exclusive for Xbox Series X, first or third party.
People really need to stop thinking that Sony has nothing in 2024 or that they have no exclusives whatsoever in general because that’s simply not the case.
The reality is there’s always games to play exclusively for every year; it is due to exposure alas mainstream push or marketing that will be counted. That said first quarter for PS5 will be strong, though begs the question, what else there is after it since it seems like all the games that are hyped are there. Many others are MIA and Death Stranding 2 is still up in the air.
Have to wait and see what the rest of 2024 has but it’s the same with Microsoft. We could go months without anything and then, the second half is over packed. Just have to wait and see.
I personally don’t have any issues with either Xbox or PlayStation and I went through all of 2022 with nothing exclusive for me to play on Xbox. Not every year is going to be packed and stacked. Both Sony and Microsoft has or will have this issue.
Are we really counting remasters, updates/expansions and cross-gen releases as ps5 titles? Because if thats the case, on “updates” alone MS has been massacring SONY years ago.
Don’t tell them that…
Counting the remasters of DS , Ghost, Ni-oh, Uncharted 4, Spiderman and updates as PS5 titles just to inflate numbers is lame.
If we are counting updates then MS “released” like 5 titles alone with every Halo:I season this year and lets not even talk about what Sea of thieves, State of decay, Flight simulator, Elder Scrolls Online, Fallout 76, Forza…etc has been doing for years and stil do ![]()
Edit: Forgot about Hi-fi rush which added a incredible new game mode on July. Does that count as 2 titles? ![]()
Like I said earlier, Zuby inflates the numbers as do most PlayStation fanboys but that’s why I exclude all that crap. New game releases only on my list.
