PlayStation 5 |OT| This SSD has no limits

And the 20m were after deep sales and the like…so yeah considering the “prestige”, hype and the MC scores Sony’s 1st party titles didn’t do the numbers that they should have on the PS4 and that is also the case for the cross-gen games and the PS5 exclusives. I expect the PS5 to be worse than the PS4 in the software attach ratio department though.

Attach rate for PS4 was between 7-10 games in the generation. Honestly, it’s pretty standard, even for Xbox.

Most people just buy a game a year (sports or COD) and the occasional “blockbuster”.

Like Jim Ryan himself has said, those 20m ain’t enough. lol

Oh man, my PS4 library says I “own”… 130 games. I put that in quotation marks because a handful of those are games downloaded from PS Plus when I was subscribed, but the absolute majority are games I literally own.

I never even thought of myself as ‘hardcore’. I just casually pick stuff up. I do the same on Xbox as well.

But the Series X was always going to be my first choice this gen because of Game Pass & some of the games I owned last gen getting fps boost. And the fact MS now owns Bethesda.

Sony did an incredible job since the beginning of this generation, they deserved this historic success and numbers. Wonder what next for them?

Stagnation if they don’t get them GAAS games popping.

I don’t forgive quite so easily, specifically the PS5 price rise in Europe.

I had the digital edition PS5 in mind at 400 euros but there was no way I was going to reward Sony after a 50 euro price hike. It would appear millions of others don’t care but I do.

I ended up getting the Series X a few weeks before Christmas for 480 euros on Amazon (they had some pretty aggressive rolling offers to shift stock which came & went within a few hours around the 5th of December).

There’s also other studios such SkyBox Labs, Jackalope Games, Spliced working on other SP experiences but most of NetEase console businesse reminds me by Sony’s 1st party business. Is Sony interesting in these world class teams? I believe contracting with NetEase in the next couple of years will give a huge advantage for the console companies.

A lot of smoke around a big May showcase…hope it’s the case.

I cannot wait to see Spidey 2 and presumably the new Factions game from ND which sounds awesome. Not to mention maybe glimpses at Wolverine and DS2.

Sony has been radio silent, the intrigue is 100% there for me to see what they show off.

I Wonder if the game bluepoint is working on will be shown

I look forward to Sony showing a bunch of games that won’t come out for 3 years and being heralded for their vision and leadership in the industry.

After the Microsoft show I look forward to hearing how the games look fine, but how disappointing it is that they were announced 3 years ago .

Again not trying to be an asshole, but where is the “smoke” beyond people hoping there is a showcase lol

Jeff Grubb has mentioned it a few times. He said it was supposed to happen at the end of last year but the devs weren’t ready.

sigh

Why does there always have to be this salty, whiny victim complex in the XBox fandom…?

No matter what anyone thinks, Sony (and Nintendo for that matter) have earned people’s trust and the right to not be questioned….XBox simply hasn’t, sorry but that’s just the way it is.

If they weren’t constantly getting in their own way, maybe things would be different :man_shrugging:t2:. Hopefully it is in the future…

You’re hyping up a showcase they may or may not exist. lmao not that serious.

I wasn’t even responding to you and you’re trying to shut down said showcase that may or may not exist so LMFAO not that serious indeed….

I agree that they earned consumers trust due to their output in the past 5 years. I am just excited to see or hear about new games, so I don’t mind if they’re far away

Exactly…hell I don’t even mind it from XBox.
