PlayStation 5 |OT| This SSD has no limits

That seems insane to me when at least 50+ games are releasing that I’m interested in during that time period.

Yeah. Played through the first two chapters and will get back to it later this year. It’s really good but I won’t have time to finish it over the weekend and im hyped for Hogwarts this Tuesday.

Don’t know what Hi Fi Rush has to do with PlayStation 5 though? I meant my drought is on the PlayStation 5 side, not in general. I already completed Dead Space and next week is Hogwarts. In general, I have plenty of games to play for the first half of 2023.

Just posted my impressions in the Hi Fi Rush OT.

I feel that Sony’s investment in VR and 10 live service games could end up backfiring spectacularly for the brand.

It’s a weird focus for sure.

Oh sorry I thought you meant you had a general drought, not PS specific.

Me. Me. I’m the drought-guy. But I have a huge backlog, on PS5 too, to keep me occupied until Starfield.

Oh it’s you! How? I have too many games ATM! Including a backlog so long I don’t even want to think about it!

Absolutely, it’s mental at the moment.

On the one hand I totally get it - live service will bring in the money that their standard single player experiences don’t, and I’m glad to see a major company like Sony taking risks to advance an interesting technology like VR.

But equally I do worry all of this is gonna take away from the games people like from Sony’s first party. I mean that line up is perhaps their strongest asset right now and they don’t actually have a lot of first party content currently announced outside of VR content and 10 live service titles doesn’t take a small amount of resources to make. Eh, I don’t know, I’m certainly not expecting doom here but it does feel like risky territory for them.

To be fair, Redfall did become interesting after the recent interviews and showing so I do have that.

There’s some small stuff here and there that looks interesting but nothing that really has me hyped.

No problem. I have 10 games for the first half of 2023 all for Xbox Series X and the HFW expansion but new game wise for PlayStation 5, I have nothing until SB or SM 2.

With your backlog, you’ll never have a drought. lmao

So after nearly 2 years i got a ps5. Got the all digital console for 400 bucks from target. It was just there in stock so i bought it.

Also just purchased the premium psn tier for 120 bucks. That will be pretty much set for the the remainder of the year as far as my spending goes on the system. The console itself looks pretty hideous even the digital one but i like the interface. Not a fan of the controller tbh.

I missed this. You have 50+ games that you’re interested in and are releasing in the next six months??? Wow.

Including the 10 games I have for the first half of 2023 and my future game list which are games that don’t have an official release date yet, my total is 54 games. You have nearly as many games in whatever your time period is than I have COMBINED. lol

Damn Jesse. That’s 44 games. It would probably be easier to list the games you don’t have any interest in playing. lol

Out of those 44 games, im interested in 16 of them which is about a third compared to you. lol

Plz edit Starfield into the first part of the list, or do those all have dates?

The first half have dates, the 2nd half have “targets” for the most part. I pulled it off of my “every game coming to xbox in 2023” article.

I actually found 4…

Starfield. The one I’m actually hyped for and would’ve bought day one if no Game Pass.

S.T.A.L.K.E.R 2. Doubt release is close, but will be second in hype level after Starfield.

Redfall. Will play thanks to GP, singleplayer looks good.

Jedi: Survivor. Will wait for Game Pass.

As for PS, they have nothing I need day one.

Holy shit!!! And here I thought it was only Starfield. Hahaha.

Waiting for Jedi to go on EA Play via GPU is understandable. Probably a year or so later. I think Stalker 2 will be a Fall 2023 release.

Haha, yeah 4 is not so bad.

Yeah, Jedi should show up next winter or so I guess. Not spending $80 to play a game early lol.

STALKER 2 I have no idea… I hope it comes this year.

A really great list of games this month. Almost all Square Enix games are coming to PS Plus, simultaneously with their total disappearance from Game Pass. I also see Take Two supporting PS Plus a lot. Excluding NBA 2K games, I don’t recall any games of theirs being available on Game Pass. Maybe just GTA, but maybe that was more of a deal with Rockstar Games than Take Two.
