Tiny Tina is great IMO… but it’s only a $10 standalone DLC really.

Pretty messed up for having one game that does have last gen version to remain as PS5 exclusive.

Finished God of War on PC today. 5 Valkyries done.

Phenomenal game, no more words needed on that front.

I really wanna play this game’s higher difficulty modes but its idea of what’s more difficult is basically making it even more damage spongier and certain attacks not working in certain enemy states or whatever. That’s just boring. You do the same things you already were, just for a looot longer. This in turn forces the actual work to be done outside the actual gameplay ie sitting in menus and min-maxing builds, strategizing enchantments and shit which can be cool and helpful and worth exploring in its own way but not as fun.

So it’s kinda like “I beat this boss on Give me God of War difficulty” being the same as “I beat this boss on Medium Difficulty but by taking 6-7 more minutes”.

I don’t understand why the PS5 version of Horizon is 10 dollars more than the PS4. If I buy the PS4 version it’s a free upgrade right?

it is

I may cave and grab it for ps4 since I still have my pro.

Wow, I thought it was a $5 standalone. It originally sold as $10 DLC for Borderlands 2. I figured they’d want more folks to experience it in the hype build-up for the new Tiny Tina game, so make it an impulse purchase at $5.

So why is it 10 more dollars!

the fucking Muspelheim trials were a goddamn ordeal smh lol, I got annoyed at some point and just lowered difficulty to easy for some of them, like that “kill enemies when they are within the ring” or whatever bs that was. If the challenge was fun, I kept it at default difficulty. But some just weren’t. The kill 100 enemies one was genuine edge of the seat fun so I liked that.

Ultimately, these trials were just in the way of me wanting to fight the Valkyrie at the end of it so I couldn’t care less what difficulty it was in. Glad that option exists for quick and easy changing whenever you want.

I was on easy for one of the last trials and then went on to rail the valkyrie in one try, forgetting I was still in easy. Lol then before the autosave happened, I reset the difficulty to medium and retried the boss again and got my ass handed several times before I won again. Phew.

Because Sony.

Because Sony wants to gather that 10 extra dollars from unaware gamers.

FOR THE PLAYERS.

no clue lol. It’s clear they weren’t expecting that much backlash and had contributed a lot of the infrastructure around the whole 10 dollar upgrade thing so when it got updated on the policy level, they prolly couldn’t do it right on a more technical or a logistical level and kept it. Still super weird tho. Might still be betting on a lot of casuals not on social media and not having a clue about the backlash and the subsequent change to end up paying them.

Yes. Unless the box art says “Free upgrade,” I see this as their snake way to get people buy PS5 version without realizing they could have saved money with PS4 version.

I mean Sony is clearly hoping uninformed people spend the 10 extra dollars. They’re running a scam in broad daylight and no one has really called them on it.

pretty sure most people on social media have, they just seem to be betting on those outside it to scrape some of that money from.

“How come Nintendo gets away with it but not us…”

they know their customers

Higher difficulties in GoW 2018 are not that interesting to be honest, definitely one of the negatives of the game IMO (second being the lacking bosses and enemy variety). I really dislike the way some devs are designing their harder modes with just making enemies damage sponges, I don’t have a problem with dying easily in hard modes but hitting an enemy or a boss for long ass time with doing the same stuff over and over again is just not fun to me (I am looking at you Onimusha: Dawn Of Dreams).

Making the enemies more active/dangerous, remixing fights and having normal enemy health pools is the way to go IMO (like Ninja Gaiden & DOOM for example).

Because they can get away with it. Just imagine MS doing something similar…what the reactions would be then. :phil_lmao:
