No, This time there seems to be a constant rim and fill light attached to the character rig. Its prevalent in the videos also. You can see a almost constant glow especially in Aloy’s hair.
In my opinion its a through and through artistic choice of the developers making them look like there are always under a studio lighting setup. Its present in the first game also during the cutscenes, this time its a bit more pronounced.
Is this supposed to be a logical explanation of the pricing of the game? because with the free upgrade you could say that the PS4 version is the better value since you get both versions for 10 euros/dollars less.
It doesn’t make any sense to pay more for the PS5 version other than “some suckers will pay 10 dollars more” and Sony getting away with it like always.
It’s the simple fact that if Sony were to release Horizon 2 for $60 on PS5, that would basically screw them over for all their other $70 games which obviously not going to do. Question would be is if Horizon 2 is $60 on PS5 why isn’t all their other games? Ratchet, Returnal, GOWR, etc.?
That’s the reason why Sony keeps it at $70. Simply because all their other PS5 games are $70.
They could always price the cross-gen games lower and have the PS5 only games at $70/80e but as you said they prefer screwing the less informed PS owners than to do that simple thing. That’s why I said they are doing it because they can get away with it.
Sony is trying to be Nintendo in their pricing policy but it’s too late now, they trained their fanbase to be able to buy a game 6 months later at 20e for a whole generation…good luck making them pay 80e at launch or 60e after 6 months. Maybe the sales of R&C and Returnal were an indication that at least for now it isn’t working as planned but I guess we will see how Horizon 2 does in a month.
Agree with everything you said but Horizon Forbidden West is going to sell extremely well. Pre-ordered my copy earlier today at GameStop. I’m expecting the game to surpass 5m in February since it’s cross-gen.
Finally beat Sigrun. Fuck. Spent hours being under leveled at 6 and trying to beat her regardless but simply couldn’t (purple health bar). Then farmed mist echoes for the ivaldi armor, leveled up to almost 8 then came back and was still dying but her individual hits were doing far less damage. Finally, was able to beat the absolute shit out of her without even needing the resurrection stone. Great feeling. Damn.
Easily in top 5 bosses the last decade imo.
Sigrun is to God of War what Isshin Sword Saint is to Sekiro. Just perfect culmination of everything you’ve learned and everything you’ve had to unlearn over the course of the game. Two badasses just beating the absolute shit out of each other. Her very entrance is testament to that.
Bittersweet now that it’s done.
I wonder what role Valkyries will play in the sequel. Freya is one of the two main antagonists and looks like she’s gonna be getting back her warrior spirit, but the Valkyries are self admittedly indebted to Kratos for freeing them from the physical corrupted shells in the 2018 game. Will some side with you, help you on the way or will all of them just fall back onto Freya’s orders? Will be interesting to see.
