PlayStation 5 |OT| This SSD has no limits

Ryse is better than Godfall. All Godfall has is visuals. At least Ryse has a good story and characters to go with their visual showcase.

Seems the first stage of hacking the PS5 has already been cracked

Wasn’t Godfall the first PS5 game ever showcased, too? Lol.

Kotaku tryna be the villain of the industry and the only guys who are hellbent on uniting gamers AND other game journalists to unanimously agree to make fun of them

I know someone who may get a kick out of this

All I have played on PlayStation 5 have been exclusives. lol.

Kotaku just revels in the console war.

Yeah, regardless of the platform, they have no shame. The “good” thing is that Xbox is not anymore their favourite target, lol.

I saw this tweet today and it reminded me that last month someone on this forum was claiming no one on Xbox plays Roblox. I think when people compare PlayStation versus Xbox exclusives that Roblox gets ignored. Does anyone know why PlayStation doesn’t have Roblox or is it just speculation?

Since it was $40 pre-owned and I had $40 in points on my account, I bought Returnal and will check out the damn game later today or tomorrow. Will finally see what all the hoopla is about and can finally stop hearing my friend bug me about it.

Would love to hear your unvarnished opinion on it. You’re a pretty straight shooter.

I definitely am. The rogue elements aren’t for me but I do love the combat/shooting/gameplay from what I have seen. If it was melee based, I probably wouldn’t have bothered but shooting and it’s Housemarque so I have to give it at least a chance.

Plus my friend made a few good points…im buying Elden Ring day one, played BOTW for 20 hours before dropping it and bought RDR 2 digitally and dropped it after chapter one so he was like, you give those games a chance but don’t want to give Returnal a chance despite being a Housemarque fan? He kinda had me there so I was like, okay, I’ll check out this damn game. lol

Well…I played 3+ hours of Returnal. Didn’t make it past the first world. Love the visuals, audio, combat/gameplay and sci-fi world. No comment on the story as I didn’t even make it into the first house due to it being locked. Died twice and third time, I go into a tomb room where you can replenish your health and as soon as I do, three bats or whatever they are appear and take away half my health and im like, game is done.

The one thing I can say is that if it wasn’t roguelike and simply a straightforward 15+ hour game with checkpoints and not losing your equipment and weapons when dying (which sucked because I had a level 3 assault rifle that I was really liking), I would have easily played through the game but it is what it is.

I just picked up Days Gone on Steam from a cdkey site for like $23, along with Killer Instinct. Was Days Gone any good? I picked it up because I’m trying to fill out the PlayStation Studios games in my Steam library.

I love Days Gone. It was my 2019 goty and dream open world zombie game come true. Had some performance and technical issues which you shouldn’t have on Steam. World is great, audio is solid, loved the story lines and characters. Combat/gameplay is rough at the start but once you get a shotgun a little bit into the story, it becomes a lot better because it’s level 3 where as the weapons you start with in the beginning are literally labeled as junk. lol.

I really like the idea of “chose the way you want to play”

How much difficult would it be to provide an extra mode without Rouge like mechanics?

I hope all games coming in next gen try to do this. RPGs are to big for me… I would like to experience games like avowed or Fable as an action adventure.

Returanal could also get the same treatment

I suggest playing RPG’s on easy and just do the main story quests. Doing this can cut down most RPG’s in half if not more. But otherwise, I agree. I think it’s more for roguelike/souls like games that could use an easy mode or something. Or better yet, a casual mode for gamers like me and a hardcore mode for those who love being punished in the game for some odd reason.
