Not an entire new game no, but still (potentially)significant effort. E.g. you would need to fully code and test a checkpoint mechanism that didn’t previously exist.
Your more likely to get smaller accessibility changes like the ability to turn off or reduce damage taken.
This is just Jim pre-empting any fall out that might come Sony’s way from this due to their close ties with Activision. As you say if this carries any genuine weight then we will see CoD or may be destiny removed from the PS store until action is taken (don’t hold your breath).
I don’t have a PS4/5 so I wasn’t aware this existed but I thought it was cool that the devs of this game teamed up with Eden Reforestation Project to plant two trees for every one full-priced physical copy this game sells. Just thought it was a really cool gesture.
The studio is called Slocap, they previously made Absolver.
They aren’t owned by anyone, but recently they became part of this group of indie studios that shall act as a sort of a super studio and publish the games themselves too. So going by that I doubt they are available for acquisition.
It’s one of the best weapons in the game for hand to hand combat, unfortunately it’s locked behind DLC. But DS2 did a great job with the Caetus and the power stance for people wanting to fight with their hands.
I have never played Demon’s/Dark Souls so I can’t say. When you die in Sifu, you age and eventually die completely. The only difference is that you get stronger in Sifu each time you die because you learn and become more experienced from each death. At least, this is what I get out of watching the few Sifu videos I have seen.
