With next gen, Graphics is always a priority

I think this time devs should look into the multi genre games as well

In the same world and story line, one can play like RPG or other as Action Adventure

Heck, even provide TPS or FPS modes for choice

Financially it also make sense to me.

They can approach it as after launch content as well. Build and launch the game with core gener mechanics and later on add modes for other genre.

The other genre modes may lack some core ideas, but it would be ok because game was meant to be played in the original launch style

A lot more than you’d think especially when the whole game is designed around those mechanics.

Would be like having to design and balance two entirely different games.

But it won’t be as difficult as making an entire new game, right?

Only game mechanics need to change

Not an entire new game no, but still (potentially)significant effort. E.g. you would need to fully code and test a checkpoint mechanism that didn’t previously exist. Your more likely to get smaller accessibility changes like the ability to turn off or reduce damage taken.

I see it more of a “Next Gen” capability

Engines and Game Design/Code should evolve in this space

This is very good and might indeed affect the relationship a bit but until the bullshit marketing and moneyhats stop, these are just words.

This is just Jim pre-empting any fall out that might come Sony’s way from this due to their close ties with Activision. As you say if this carries any genuine weight then we will see CoD or may be destiny removed from the PS store until action is taken (don’t hold your breath).

I don’t have a PS4/5 so I wasn’t aware this existed but I thought it was cool that the devs of this game teamed up with Eden Reforestation Project to plant two trees for every one full-priced physical copy this game sells. Just thought it was a really cool gesture.

Damn…

Is this game forever PS exclusive?

Who’s the dev… Any chance they can be bought by Xbox?

Combat is next Gen to be honest

It’s timed.

The studio is called Slocap, they previously made Absolver.

They aren’t owned by anyone, but recently they became part of this group of indie studios that shall act as a sort of a super studio and publish the games themselves too. So going by that I doubt they are available for acquisition.

And when is the midnight madness coming coming out… It looks the same game to me but just in isometric view

It’s launching on gamepass as well?

Midnight Fight Express and Sifu both look great. But MFE is more of a beat em up while Sifu is almost like a Kung Fu souls game.

So Sifu is pretty much DS2 with the Bone Fist?

it’s more The Raid: The Video Game. But damn this Bone Fist guy can throw some hands fr

It’s one of the best weapons in the game for hand to hand combat, unfortunately it’s locked behind DLC. But DS2 did a great job with the Caetus and the power stance for people wanting to fight with their hands.

I have never played Demon’s/Dark Souls so I can’t say. When you die in Sifu, you age and eventually die completely. The only difference is that you get stronger in Sifu each time you die because you learn and become more experienced from each death. At least, this is what I get out of watching the few Sifu videos I have seen.
