damn . You can see the grains of sand flying when she slides . Looks really good .
Yeah, but even outside visuals, the game itself looks like it “feels” a lot more fluid to play, the added traversal mechanics is a big dub.
oh 100% . Traversal was one the biggest reason I dropped the previous one .
This game is looking good… High contender of Goty 2022
Looks pretty rad! Good traversal does a lot to alleviate tedium in open worlds. I did everything in Spider-Man but dropped Horizon Zero Dawn for that reason.
I was posting the games that I actually played and completed. If you add in Demon’s Souls, Sackboy and Returnal, the PS5 lineup crushes PS4 even more than it already does.
I was just posting the games that I played and completed. I’m not a sports/racing gamer as I rarely play any of them but DriveClub was a visually impressive game but I know it had plenty of issues. Of course, if there’s games that I have no interest in playing (and I would think this applies to everyone in general), it doesn’t matter how great or bad it is because im not going to play it anyway.
Honestly, I didn’t run out of hard drive space until halfway through the generation and by then, I bought the Samsung EVO 1TB SSD to go with the PS4 Pro. Only way I would run out of space is if I keep every game installed but once completed, I don’t need to. Also, I do buy more physical than digital so once the game is traded in, it gets uninstalled. With PS5 being secondary, I will never have an issue with storage.
I’m excited and optimistic for two reasons - 1) Sony gives me what I want the most and prefer. 2) Their studios are top notch with for the most part excellent track records. I know im going to get a visually stunning, polished as hell, high quality, single player, action packed story driven game that will score around 9+ for me personally. I can’t complain about any of that because it fits my preferences.
Gran Turismo does look bad but again, im not into sports/racing so for me personally, the game can be 2/10 and I don’t give a shit. Besides, Motorsport surpassed it two generations ago. At this point, Turismo is just “there”. lol
God of War Ragnarok doesn’t look much improved from the PS4 version but the PS4 version was a visual showcase and stunner. Arguably, the best looking game of last generation. Only a Tsushima, RDR 2 and maybe an AC Odyssey matches or surpasses it. Either way, the visuals will still be a 10/10. If the story and characters is excellent along with the gameplay/combat and audio, it’s an easy contender for game of the generation and favorite to win in the year it releases.
Drought wise, Sony is already at a better quality pace than PS4 was for me at this point and im expecting at most, 2 exclusives a year for me. If I get that, im perfectly happy.
Here’s a few comparisons -
For Xbox 360, my exclusives were a total of 8 games over 8 years. 5 Microsoft published and 3 third party published. For PS3, my exclusives were a total of 5 games over 7 years. 4 of the 5 were from Naughty Dog. For Xbox One, my exclusives were a total of 5 games over 7 years. Subtract Gears and it’s 3 games. Xbox 360 was the best out of the three quantity wise but quality, PS3 won due to Naughty Dog.
For PS4, I had 20 exclusives in 7 years but if I take away a few that were “meh” or “did I really need to play that?”, it’s a total of 12 games over 7 years. Quality is right there and quantity is more.
Thus far, I have had 2 Sony exclusives. Both 9/10 and ahead of everything listed above in the same time period. Once Halo Infinite releases, I will have 2 Microsoft exclusives and they will be second in the same time period ahead of everything listed above.
So overall, in general, my primary gaming console in XSX is surpassing XBO/360 while my secondary gaming console in PS5 is surpassing PS4/PS3 thus far. And that gap is only going to grow for both.
I may very well be the happiest and most satisfied gamer thus far this generation on this site. lol
doubt . I enjoyed Demon Souls so I win . ![]()
Hahaha. Demon’s Souls is a great game but im not into souls games. lol

Has anyone here played Sackboy? If so, are there any mandatory co-op missions or can the entire game be played solo? And in general, how is the game itself? Thanks.
Sackboy is good. I played through it with my kid but you can play it solo. It’s worth your time but I wouldn’t pay full price. PlayStation will have a Black Friday sale, just buy it then. Both me and my son thought AstroBot was better. I kind of think PlayStation should’ve given away Sackboy with its PS5 controller (similar to how Nintendo gave away Wiimotes with certain Wii games).
It’s currently $40 and hoping it goes on sale at GameStop/Best Buy/Amazon for $20 during Black Weekend. When you say AstroBot, you mean the PSVR game or Astro’s Playroom? Yeah, Sony rarely if ever does that kind of stuff.
AstroBot PS5
Oh wow. Surprised that a demo would be better than a full game.
My brother in law has a PS5 and he let me have it for the weekend and It was interesting to compare it to the XSX. First off, it’s a big old girl. It was quite jarring looking at it next to my XSX. It was pretty quiet, similar to the XSX. So much of an improvement over the Pro. Sony really put alot of effort into fixing that, and it seems to have paid off. The controller is also a big step up over the past generation one. Even without the haptics etc, it’s a better feel and look. While the XSX controller is a great one, maybe MS could have added something extra over the share button. But I guess it wasn’t broke so why fix it.
Games are games, but the PS5 is a really well put together machine and I think both MS and Sony did well.
PS5 looks so much better if you replace the white covers with solid black covers and if you have a black TV stand or whatever, you can only see how big it is if you’re in front of it.
I hate the gimmicky stuff (touch pad, triggers, haptics) that the controller has but I do like it over Series X for one simple reason - it’s bigger and bulkier which is better for my hands. The XSX controller kept giving me cramps so I bought a few Xbox One 2016 controllers and for me, so much better since they’re bigger.
Back to PS5, it’s very quiet and stays pretty cool all things considered. Will see if it stays that way when I play Horizon 2 in February. lol
good prices if anyone want to upgrade
I mean…you listed Knack. So yeah anything you put out for PS5 automatically wins
BUT…you have to include the mediocre PS5 games too. Destruction all stars. Godfall. Not 1st party but the amount of money Sony shoved up Gearbox’s arse it may as well be.
I was only going based on the games I played and completed. Games that I didn’t complete or even play, I didn’t post because good or bad, I didn’t complete them so I don’t count them. In fact, games that I drop, I tend to forget they even exist. lmao.
If you want to include games that I didn’t play or complete like Godfall/DAS, you also have to include Demon’s Souls/Returnal/Sackboy and PS4 games Killzone SF, Infamous Second Son and Driveclub.
In general, I would easily choose PS5 launch year over PS4 because while I don’t care about Demon’s Souls, Returnal and have decided against Sackboy, they’re still a better group of games than Driveclub, Killzone SF and Second Son.
The day after Godfall’s release: “Godfall? What’s Godfall?”
2050: “Remember when Microsoft hyped up Ryse as an exclusive launch title and then it underperformed? What an epic blunder for the ages.”
