Persona 3 Portable, 4 Golden, and 5 Royale Coming to Xbox Consoles, Cloud, and PC

I did the same, bought Person 5 Vanilla on PS3 and again on PS4. I’m a bit of a Persona-nut though - despite all the years of selling games off to make room and such, I still have all three PSP Persona mainlines and my Vita P4G. I am trying to hunt down a steelbook Persona 5 for XSX to celebrate the Xbox welcome.

It was a PS2 classic on PS3, so it was playable but didn’t have trophies. I’m curious to see what those look like, and how many if any will only be achievable on the female MC route since there are some things that are only possible on that route.

As a blanket PSA, the Hardcore Risette Fan trophy was a big pain in the ass to get. If that’s still around and anybody is interested in getting 1000/1000 for P4G, I strongly suggest you look into it early. It’s easy to end up with an endgame save and being too powerful to hear a bunch of her lines.

Eh, you don’t need to justify anything to anyone. There’s no denying that these releases are the definitive versions of Persona 4 and 5, and their presence on Xbox makes them extra accessible thanks to cloud saves, streaming, cross-buy, Game Pass and so on. It’s easier than ever to provide the massive amount of time these games require in a convenient form. I expect and hope that this will inject new life into the series and make Xbox a more attractive platform going forward for the genre.

And I also hope that means future entries will stop with the shitty punching down “jokes”. They really mar the series and I hope that whoever replaced Hashino as director/producer is better about that sort of thing.

Says who yhr butthurt ps fangirls who are upset royal is multiplat? Fuck those bimbos. Ive seen a lot of them on twitter complaining about persona going multiplat. These entitled ps fanboys are sick.

P3 FES and vanilla P4 were playable on PS3. Digital version from PS2. Without trophies

Just saw Persona 5 on the most played list on consoles, currently #28 in the US.

I was hoping we’d get FES tbh. But P3P on cloud should be fun.

Same, there are some benefits to P3P however. Honestly though, given that the PSP is the basis and getting a native port, I don’t see any reason they couldn’t do the same for the first two games as well at some point. I’m hoping at least - I’d love to play them on a larger screen than my interlaced PSP screen

You’re telling me you don’t want to play the original game on the world renown and beloved PS Classic?!? #NotAnAd

It’s #18 now.

I’m not sure how accurate that is

On the most played GP games Plague tale is 3 or 4 slots higher than P5 but on most played in general Persona 5 is roughly 10 spots higher than Plague tale

Regardless though it seems to be doing well

I’d be curious about that too. You’d assume it also includes owned copies of the game too in the Game Pass timer, right? Or maybe the lists don’t update at the same time?

Yeah it might just update differently, there might be a few factors that could change things up

I believe they all have their own data reset statistics. Xbox Most Played takes time to update, let alone not being real-time. Regardless, the fact it’s doing this well should be noteworthy over Atlus and maybe to all Japanese developers.

It’s #16 overall most played, close to beating Gotham Knights. Yes, people still got it because of the name. I mean if they like it, cool, but just saying for those who are thinking, “How did that game got up there.” Anyway, great sight to see for Persona.

I wonder where it would be placed in a month, but regardless of that this has to show Japanese devs a good message that there is a community on xbox for their games. Still crazy to see that it’s beating out games like FIfa, halo, and other popular games on the most played list

Regardless of how well Persona does, I still think JP devs that aren’t currently supporting Xbox are going to need some prodding from MS to do it. If anything, I’m hoping that Persona is getting Xbox community members who don’t really play Japanese games to start getting into them more.

Absolutely, my hope that more Japanese games come to Game Pass isn’t just mercenary, it’s also because it’s such a great venue to introduce people to genres like JRPGs and VNs that they wouldn’t have tried if they weren’t “free”.

It’s great to see P5R doing well, I don’t expect P3P to get nearly as high, but I guess part of it depends on what else comes out around then.

Can I ignore every romance option in this game like in Judgment?
