Persona 3 Portable, 4 Golden, and 5 Royale Coming to Xbox Consoles, Cloud, and PC

“Playstation Entitlement”

And that’s why I cannot wait for a big japanese acquisition from Microsoft. It is the time to break the spine of Playstation japanese support. Too many games Playstation community takes for granted. The meltdown is gonna be impressive if it is either Capcom or Square Enix.

Put close to an hour into this earlier, game is very stylish

Working flawlessly over cloud also

I’m just passed the Tutorial section (i think) and i am really digging this game right now. Great atmosphere, stylish as hell (expected, its Persona after all) I feels very much like an interactive anime. I was most looking forward to playing P4 Golden the most but this is hooking me so far.

As for if Atlus will continue to support Xbox, Switch and PC. I feel like going back to PS only releases would be dumb even for them. Especially after P4 Golden on Steam did big numbers as i recall. I feel like the floodgates are open and Persona will be the next Yakuza as far as Gamepass and xbox go. No amount of Playstation entitlement will change that.

I’ll admit I haven’t started it yet. I did play P5 in 2017 and didn’t play Royal so I’m looking forward to it. Just gotta finish some games I’m currently playing before taking on this behemoth.

P5R is better than any other game on Xbox (or PC or Switch or PS4…) tbh, drop everything else and play it

About 20 hours in, loving this game all over again after having finished Vanilla P5 a few years back. The Royal additions are a bit hit and miss, the new ways to spend time at Leblanc’s are a revelation but the new character feels forced and unnatural.

That said, this is a top tier JRPG no doubt - it remains just behind P4G in the series for me, but who knows if that’ll change - and I couldn’t be happier it’s front and centre on Xbox.

Works like a dream on xCloud too. Absolutely perfect.

They really should do more of this for future titles. It’s too much fun.

Honestly this game is a fucking masterpiece. So SO good. I ddint think P4 could be topped…but its on its way. Im over 20 hours now and ive gone past the progress i made before so this is all new to me now.

Easily one of the best rpgs in the last few decades.

About the P4G Vs P5R debate, it’s a tough one. I prefer Inaba, the party, the music and the higher difficulty of P4G - but P5R is so smooth man, combat is much much better and social links (confidants) outside the main cast are too. Really is a bit of a toss up at the minute for me.

Hell, I love P3 too. Literally a dream come true for me to have these three on Xbox. Surely P6 launches on the platform too?

Can’t emphasize this enough, it’s 1080p/60fps and plays like an absolute dream. Best way to play the game handheld, no question.

Metacritic is a such a garbage as site when it comes to moderators its reviews you cant even flag reviews

So user reviews some dipshit sony fanboys are so upset persona came to xbox hes actively giving xbox version a bad score and telling people not to play it on xbox.

I am loving Persona 5. Definitely going to play the others when they hit.

Man, I hope Persona 6 is going to be on Xbox because I will be quite unhappy if it’s not.

People seem to forget about Sega’s shift for their japanese franchise to hit multiple platforms. I think Sega realized keeping Yakuza and other games on playstation only doesn’t do much for growth of their franchises

This has easily been the best game I’ve played on my XSX.

The hype was justified.

Real talk, I’m having difficulties holding on for Haru - sitting at Lovers rank 8 because I know how hard it’ll be to get through 9.

Started the game on Merciless because I completed Vanilla P5 on Hard, but have switched back down to Hard. The 3x weakness damage just makes it too hard to get Negotiations and too easy to get one shotted by bosses.

I think it’s a lot of “once bitten, twice shy” due to the fact that Atlus were unpredictable, Xbox tends gets singled out and shafted (you mentioned Ultimax earlier), and Sony being pretty merciless with their moneyhats.

I want to agree with you, for what it’s worth, but I can also understand people being afraid to hope.

Put 17 hours into the game over the weekend and absolutely loving it. This is after buying it twice already on PS4 but never making it more than an hour in.

I’m even more excited to replay P4 next year.

P3 never had a port to PS3 or Vita right? So it’s never had a trophy list before and the achievement list will be brand new?

P5 has a very reasonable and approachable list for such a long game… P4 a bit less so. I’m hoping P3’s list is more like the former.

Same. I feel like a fanboy only getting into Persona when it’s on Xbox, but I bought a PSTV to play Persona 4 Golden (I played a few hours), then bought Persona 5 on disc and bought it again digital on PS4… (played a few hours then dropped it every time) what is wrong with me ?

For me it comes down to achievements. I’m not going to be motivated to play something I can’t earn achievements from. That’s not to say it never happens, but it needs to be something special.
