Movies and TV shows thread

I thought Nolan had a genius marketing plan or something because he was fighting so hard to get his movie released at the height of the pandemic . His genius plan was revealing his Tenet trailer in Fortnite :upside_down_face:

Nolan fucked up Tenent himself. The audio mixing is absolute trash level. Even If the audience could hear the dialogue, the premise is too complex for most to comprehend because they’re there for action flick not for a cerebral workout.

Nolan : No one will be able to figure out the story if no one gets to hear the dialogue .

My viewing experience was vastly better at home due to subtitles lol, I still really enjoyed the movie for what it was.

His privilege was showing lol, dude somehow thought the pandemic was behind us after only 3 months.

Alright buddy.

I watched it in the theater . I shit you not the music was so loud that I thought it might burst my ear drum .

Fucking hell man, Crimes of the Future sounded like a very interesting movie solely by name but this turned out to be yet another “who the fuck comes up with this stuff?” movie. Arthouse again, of course it is. The slogan of the movie is “surgery is the new sex” it’s bizarre, can be disturbing for some and as a movie just wasn’t that interesting.

Despite having good to great actors in it like Viggo Mortensen, Lea Seydoux and such. It certainly is unique and I can’t help but wonder wtf directors like these are thinking, what goes around in their heads.

At least the trailer for Thor was surprisingly entertaining.

Speaking of Thor, it’s this week. Definitely checking it out. I assume the movie will go into detail how Jane becomes you know…right? Because I don’t recall any of that being covered previously.

Don’t judge me yall, but I been on a kdrama marathon all day

Phase 4 ? More like phase yikes .

Personally I pay zero attention to movie critics. All too often there are movies I really I enjoyed and it got low scores.

In Taika I trust. I shall find out on Friday.

Going to see Elvis tonight.

Not a fan by any means, but I got a sub to my cinema, so I can just go and check out any movie I want, whenever and as many times I want. So why not.

Bruh why don’t I get nice things like that

Nothing like that there? That sucks. :pensive:

I pay 21 euros every month and then I can check it all out. If a movie is 3D I need to pay a euro extra. But fuck 3D,i just pick the 2D one then.

Wait, 3D is still around?

Last few times critic reviews convinced me to see a movie was BladeRunner 2049 and The Northman. BladeRunner I thought wow, this is fucking incredible. Northman I thought wow, who put a gun to there head to praise that mediocre shit.

Sadly very much so, and these cinemas make good use of it by having almost all showings in 3D daily and just one in 2D,often in the morning. But thankfully it’s mostly MCU and animation movies these days.

Yeah, I got ya. First time watching The Northman I thought it was nice. Watched it a second time and I didn’t like it nearly as much, didn’t think it was that good at all.

Personally I got some friends in the industry that get to watch these big blockbuster movies really early on ( especially superhero movies ) and I ask them if Ill like the movie or not . If they say that Ill like it then I go and watch the movie on big screen , otherwise I save my money :face_with_peeking_eye:
