Microsoft Rewards Game Pass Quests

I don’t see it on my app. Maybe it’s region specific. Which region are you in?

I see it in the… US lol. Actually I don’t see the weekly one

So I just noticed that the weekly 4 day console reward is also showing up now in the Rewards tab on the console profile page. Clicking it shows that it is actually 250 points plus another 250 for game pass ultimate.

Finally got the piece #8 after like 3 or 4 months.

One more year and I’ll get the 1000 bonus. :smiling_face_with_tear:

I got scared for a second. on the rewards app it seems they removed redeem $25 gift card, but I went on my web browser its still there. I should probably redeem my points, so I can purchase Infinite Wealth.

edit; looks like I can’t redeem on web browser smh

2nd edit: I found the solution. I redeemed on rewards mobile app.

I’ve been trying the same (around the same timing and same game) and it seems to be working.

Now I’m beginning to question whether or not I insured whether the game I was playing was Game Pass or not when I got the achievements that I was hoping would count. One time it was Rocket League which I confirmed was not a part of EA Play so that one is something I should not have expected to count. The other game was a Game Pass game (the one where your character dies in the beginning and then you are playing as an avatar in his mind) but that was done at odd hours late at night.

Regardless, if I get both daily tasks done from now until Feb 4th (which is the last day) I should be able to get it. It’s coming down to the wire.

I think easiest solution to the change is just have a set amount achievement for the month or play time.

This was a big enough change that I thought this should be posted.

Previously, Rewards on Xbox were split between three separate experiences: the Microsoft Rewards App on Xbox, Xbox Game Pass Quests, and the Rewards hub. The new Rewards hub will serve as the “single, go-to location for Xbox Rewards” and “brings together access to all offers and Xbox-related activities and will be the destination on Xbox to set goals, earn, and redeem points.”

Microsoft says that with this update to Xbox Rewards, it is “recalibrating” its Rewards points system and is “updating the kinds of activities players can participate in to earn rewards so that more players will enjoy and benefit from the program.”

“We’re always looking at how we can make gaming experiences better for players. That’s why over the coming months, you’ll see us deploying many experiments within the Rewards program to test different ways to continue improving it, including things like new ways to earn and redeem Rewards and improved player experiences.”

They said the old Rewards App on Xbox along with the old streaks will discontinue on April 15th next month, but there’s a new version of the streaks that’ll start March 25th, which is this Monday. The new streaks will be in the newer Rewards Hub. I don’t know if your old streaks will carry over to the new system, but I doubt it.

They also said one reason for this overhaul is because they want Rewards to be consistent between different countries.

A major problem with Microsoft Rewards is that the experience is not consistent across regions. In the US, users often have completely different tasks from those in Europe and can earn a much larger number of Rewards points each month. Microsoft has told TrueAchievements that player experience and consistency across regions are “top of mind” with this new update.

“Different jurisdictions can have varying requirements around the Rewards experience, which can make it challenging for certain types of activities or rewards to be the same across regions,” a Microsoft spokesperson said. “Player experience and consistency across regions is top of mind for us with this new update, which is why you will see us continuing to test and experiment with different activities in the Rewards Hub.”

Because of the difference in tasks and points between regions, I’ve noticed a lot of confusion among the Rewards community when something changes. Microsoft has been poor in communicating its changes to the Rewards program, and it’s often left up to users to figure out if points for a task have been reduced or if something has been cut entirely. I put this to Microsoft, and a spokesperson told me that the team is committed to keeping users updated on new activities and features coming to the new hub and that users can expect “regular Xbox Rewards emails and a dedicated newsletter.”

Did anyone notice that they nerfed points on the mobile Xbox app? There’s probably more changes than this but from what I saw, no bonuses for having GPU or 7 friends, and you only get 5 points for playing the Jewel game which hardly seems worth playing anymore. Overall I barely got any points out of this.

Kinda hilarious after what’s been said here though lol.

They added play a game on console on the app. Seems like traded some of Jewel game to that.

Damn, my play with friends on PC has went from 100 +150 with bonuses to Play a game on console for 10 points

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

Yeah I noticed this morning that the “Play a PC game” quest is now worth 20 points for me instead of 50.
