This is more similar to the Mojang Acquisition than the Bethesda one. They really seem to hammer in the fact that Activision games are going to be available on a variety of platforms.

How is Anti-trust going to let Microsoft through with this one though? This is a crazy large acquisition, remember that AT&T tried to acquire T-Mobile and that didn’t go through? Remember when comcast tried to buy time warner cable?

Yeah but Apples money never came from Office products. So its a win for them in that case as they not only get MS Office to make their devices/ecosystem more business friendly but they also get a cut of the price.

Sure Sony would get some of the GP sub but they lose out a chunk of gaming revenue. Along with that they are paying MS for Azure servers.

Phil has alluded to multiple times that they realize they are bigger than Sony and Nintendo and has said they want to “protect” them or something. I truly don’t think MS wants to hurt those platforms but have something to leverage for their benefit and that can also benefit Sony and Nintendo in some ways, who knows. Microsoft benefits and benefits from other corporations, that’s the majority of their business.

probably can’t fire him immediately because of a contract and if they do fire him, he probably gets a big payout which they probably don’t want to do so they are going to wait it out and let it expire just my opinion.
