Microsoft-Activision-Blizzard Discussion Thread |OT3| - Sony bends the knee!

If not for the FTC lying to them, the cma would already have approved. I think there’s a strong chance of the cma saying screw you ftc, we’re out, and settling

Looks like 24th-31st July is put in the books, in the words of the Judge “in firm pensil”

When does MS have to close the deal before an extension is required? End of July?

Guess we gotta change the thread title. July 24th is the start of the end.

18th July, so this means they’re probably going to extend.

Cheers

I imagine ABK/MS will come to a deal very easily, ABK aren’t going to get much, if any chances of getting bought in the future should this deal fail so this is their big chance

CMA will be better prepared in July.

Still, they have to fight the best lawyers money can get, this is not fair.

Irrefutable proof, if any, that the CMA had an ideological bend and a clear goal to block the merger, regardless of any actual industry analysis, and will make any bullshit argument to make it fit.

I mean, shouldn’t they have been better prepared this time?

I mean right now they were just defending a schedule. It might be worse when they have to defend their actual case.

Just imagine how bad theyre arguments are if theyre literally panicing over a schedule

CMA was just here to please FTC that told him the case would be easy and MS will drop out without fight.

At the result, MS is coming full force to stop CMA once for all for this deal and all the possible future deals in any market.

If MS fails to buy ABK, then they can only be bought by Arabia or China companies, which may be a very big problem in keeping staff on board, with an already all time low moral.

CMA is like the young boy at his first date. Everything was planned, except he had to talk face to face to the girl.

Wait the clues are lining up. Zappy is the forum expert on CMA and competition law, now mysteriously absent during the live stream. Is Zappy the CMA lawyer in the stream

lol wtf CMA responded to a 6 page Microsoft document with a 500 page document of other cases and law not what Microsoft was saying.

He’s probably watching and will respond after.

Damn this is some serious grilling of the CMA for the world to see.
