This is pretty historic and unprecedented, any way you slice it. No matter what haters say. Just put your bias aside and think logically, that is an INSANE amount of money and properties involved. Absolutely crazy!
Exactly. But I guess it’s still possible that BGS will be a situation like Minecraft. It would still show that MS can still be the “good guy” too so to speak, or maybe it’s time to quit being that.

they can release a 1st party game on GP pretty much every 90 days, when you count some have multiple teams.
Even a lot of people seems to argue like this was to counter sony. i feel more like they wanted to make a statement and position themself for the next 10+ years. gaming is such a big growing market and will keep doing so. and you got amazon, google, apple, nvidia all lurking on it. So it was the right call from microsoft and a comitment to xbox as well as gamepass. i can see all of xbox game studios now have a lot more time to breath, polish and work on way more weird ideas just like the original elder scrolls games were so ambitious and crazy. because they are not so strictly bound to tight release dates to boost quarter numbers in the future. really happy to hear that news and what a redemption from 3 years ago for phil this must be now going forward and always have cool stuff to show. gg wp team xbox
In the Xbox blog post or one of the others they literally said that Starfield comes day 1 on Game Pass.
Microsoft is into making money and I think at least having Doom and the BGS games on PS5 is convenient and doesnt kill anybody. The other studios can be locked down just to xbox.
