Well now, on the day before console pre-orders go live, we have one of the biggest moves Microsoft has ever made. Well done Microsoft. This will be a monumental move being seen going into the next gen that shifted the tides over to Microsoft. Gloves are off boys and girls, Microsoft is here to play and they’re no longer messing around.

Honestly people should appreciate Phil Spencer more for convincing Satya to go all in on gaming. When he was appointed CEO he did have an honest discussion as to why Microsoft is in the videogame business. Not only did Phil Spencer convince him that Microsoft should continue to be in it, but double down.

Again, I don’t think MSFT is out there saying this, and underlying the value of GPU if there were any doubts. Games could/would still be released on PS & PC, but the best value is undoubtedly on GP.

Nah, I meant in how Inran worded that. Almost sounding like as if MS would announce Starfield as a tImed PD5 timed exclusive. I legit saw a comment like that in the tweet.

Very happy with this news. Firstly this means Xbox will have the best versions of those games. No parity.
I imagine like with Minecraft Sony is probably ringing Phil right now to ask what this means for multi format releases. I can see certain franchises remaining multi.

I just want to say this: I love this news.
While people are wondering what this means for exclusivity for these franchises going forward, all i can think is “All of these games are coming to Gamepass, and all future games are coming day one”. I honestly don’t care if Sony gets these games in the future and If Microsoft decides to put games like Doom and Starfield on Playstation, I think that would be great.
I’m just incredibly excited that some of my favorite franchises of all time are now guaranteed Gamepass day one and the idea is blowing my mind.

I don’t think any games will go on PS after 2021. They need to sell more consoles to sell more 3rd party games to stop Sony moneyhatting content.
I fully expect ‘case by case’ to be minor games for Switch.
