Starfield is already announced and Bethesda said this

So here it is, I think it will depend on how agressive sony is, if sony is agressive if its own exclusive deals, ms will react accordingly, right now Xbox has a ton of leverage.

Yup, I saw it. But the question then is, case by case. What exactly does that mean? Because Zeninax has tons of games, Doom, Wolfe, TES, Fallout, Starfield, TESO and so on. I would assume TESO stays, because there are plenty of daily players, MS gets a cut from Sony on that too. But what about real heavy hitters like TES VI?
Bethesda’s own statement makes it look like they will keep releasing keeps for all platforms. But then they did say the games they were making yesterday will still be published by them. But what about after those games that we know about?
Either way, the fact it’s all game pass day one is insanity!!!

Yep their games are top tier mastercrafted, game design geniuses! Prey was my favourite game of 2017.

Curious now about that Jeff Grubb comment. He said MS was going to spend a lot of money on something that wasn’t an acquisition. Was he talking about something else? Or was this supposed to be a partnership before this became a full on buyout?

I think ot will depends how agressive sony is and how much work has been done for sony platforms on future games. Microsoft could say to sony, we will put these games on Playstation but it requires an xbox live login and we want gamepass on playstation, with no cut to you.
Playstation are stubborn as hell and moves like this may seem positive for playstation in the short term but they are actually eroding what playstation is. So sony may just flat out reject this offer and try and compete with Microsoft.
This is huge for Microsoft. But there are several moves sony could make to dampen this blow.
Sony could buy smaller devs and smaller pubs.
Sony could buy bluepoint, horsemarque and possibly capcom, they could pay for some exclusive DLC for GTA6 like what xbox did for GTA4 on 360.
It’s going to be interesting.
Especially when we consider the rumberlings of google and amazon making some big moves, if google bought Activision or EA or take2 things would be very interesting indeed.
MS wouldn’t care if Bethesda releases games on other platforms.
As long as it is free on Gamepass, then goodluck with those $70 PS5 editions…
