It was believed to be a myth, only mentioned in the ancient texts. The opening of it was supposed to bring either great joy, or great evil, to the video game world - depending on who you spoke to.
‘Top Men’ were rumoured to be working on finding the Warchest, and opening it. But those were rumours.
Yep this will be the last ‘gen’ before true consolidating happens we’ve already seen it with movies and TV what made people think gaming would be immune?
And I’m happy MS got them imagine Google or Amazon getting their hands on them. Google especially would make every game a Stadia exclusive.
I didn’t know that about Frontier, that sucks. Frontier are based in my town and there’s a big Microsoft research building here so was hoping MS would buy Frontier lol.
As a counter argument having the games on a platform that doesn’t have Gamepass will prevent people that would sub instead.
For example ps5 only owners will sub to play on Xcloud, or if they have a Pc or Xbox it will be a matter of either 70 or subscribe, but if the games just come out on ps5 and there’s no way to subscribe on it they might simply buy it and/or wait for a price drop.
Incredible news. Microsoft isn’t playing around. FF16 exclusivity looks quaint by comparison. Anyone with $10, an Xbox, PC or an android phone, will be able to play all the games they want.
If I were 10 years younger, single and had no kids, I would probably OD on video games.
my only concern is that 10 dollars bout to go up real quick. My hopes are they start introducing different plans within gamepass like family, student, etc
