Another long term lurker here but signed up to the backlog challenge to stop myself being distracted by sales or the newest shiny thing. I’m more of reader than poster and for my sins jumped from GAF to Otherera to Here surviving the resolution wars of the xbox one/ps4 era 
Having gamed for what must be 40 years and approaching 48 we are honestly spoiled by todays games yet so much negativity about for the clicks. It was all very niche and even frowned on at times in the past.
I started out on a commodore but not an amiga but a c16 I think. Had to sell that to get a spectrum 128k plus 2a! Then was heart broken having to sell that but did move to a Megadrive and had every Sega console till their demise including the 32x before getting into Xbox and each of their consoles with the odd Nintendo and Sony Console thrown in over the years.
I’m based in the North East of UK and an armchair fan of the Mags but enjoy NFL and Motorsport as well as the usual movies when not gaming and trying to exercise.
Anyway I enjoy the content here so long may it last and may get more involved when the time comes.
Must dash as first day back at work today after holidays and body clock confused.

Hello everybody! New user, old xbox fan! 
I discovered this forum through a youtube video, the one with the 2024 predictions which I found very sensible and ground to Earth.
Then I observed the discourse here and it seems devoid from the usual hate you can find online, expecially when Xbox is involved.
I can’t wait to know the people here!

I’m a well know game reviewer and jokester! My wife threw me out about eight months ago, I have been living and playing my xbox in my Honda civic ever since. I was recently let go from my job at the mall as my behaviour with the manikins was deemed “inappropriate”
Ever since I have made contributions to xboxera as I essentially have nothing else at this point.

Hi, New forum member. Listener to the Pod for a while, Patreon member for a little while, recently upped membership rank.
When i’m not playing or talking about Xbox, i can usually be found on the side of a rugby pitch somewhere in the South Wales valleys.
Don’t know why I never joined the forums until now, but there you go.

Hey Everyone, just signed up to the Patereon to support the fellas, looking forward to getting more involved in this community as a watcher from a far for a while now. Quick run down is I grew up loving gaming on all consoles, then throughout the years I played less and less, sticking to maybe a sports game or gtaV. During that time I was on PS4, and when the pandemic hit, I had the time to start to get into gaming a bit more. After trying a few different games out (Witcher 3,FF7 Remake) on the PS4 it really sparked that childhood love of gaming. Then came Xbox Gampass. When I heard about this service and saw the slew of games available for me I knew I had to get into the Xbox Ecosystem. Being away from gaming for a long time, seeing the variety of games in GP would allow me to start crossing off the games on my list I wanted to play without dishing out an absurd amount of money ( I’ve played so many games on GP lol). Once I fell in love with my Xbox I started following different Xbox Content creators and these Xbox Era guys really do provide a service above an beyond, and I wasn’t even signed up for the Patereon and all the benefits that come with that. My Gamertag is in my Bio so feel free to add me to play some games, looking forward to getting to know you all!
