I just signed to this wonderful community. I like the XBOXERA site very much, which is one of the best XBOX sites out there. I have an ecosystem of 5 XBOXes, 3 XBOX One S and 2 XBOX Series S. I love them both. At the moment I am playing Far Cry Classic (HD 360 Version) and 9 Monkeys of Shaolin.
I have also just created on Facebook a new group for XBOX One S called “XBOX One S Worldwide Gaming”, where everybody is welcome.
I am here for the fun of beeing a member in an XBOX community.
I’m Red Monster from over at Famiboards. I’ve got a Series S so I figured I’d pop over here and see what’s going on. I admit I find the way threads are presented here to be kinda confusing, but I’m sure I’ll get used to it. I’m looking forward to talking Xbox with you all!
Hi everyone, my name is Lazarus and I am a proud Xbox gamer. I am excited to be a part of this community and connect with all of you. I’ve been playing Xbox for a few years now and I love it! I enjoy playing a variety of games, from first-person shooters to racing games and everything in between. I look forward to participating in discussions, sharing my gaming experiences, and learning from all of you. Thanks for having me!.
Hi
I’m a soon to be 43 year old in the UK with a Series X. This morning I googled ‘games to play when you feel down’ as i’m not having the best of times at the moment, and I came across a thread on here started during the pandemic that I thought was wonderful ‘Gaming to help with Depression/Anxiety’.
Reading it was like a rollercoaster, and it thoroughly surprised me, as positive spaces are increasingly harder to find online these days. I do hope everyone is ok.
Not much else to say, i’m still searching for that elusive game, despite owning and having access to dozens. Started playing Resident Evil 8 yesterday, and it to me was one of the best looking games I have seen so far on Series X, but I found myself getting lost and bored and didn’t want to follow a guide, as seems to happen with all open world games. I am tempted to buy Celeste, despite not getting very far when it was on Game Pass.
Yea High on life is another game in my long list of games I just abandoned, made me laugh like a loon until I got stuck Forgot about it actually, thanks! Gonna re-download it now.
Sometimes I just need something that lets my mind settle down a bit, and City Skylines can be good for that. Also Two Points Campus is pretty good for that as well, has me focusing on other problems and does it with some humor.
Crackdown 3 despite the hate it got, can be good for some mindless destruction. And if you’re at all into cars or scenery or whatever, Forza Horizon 5 and just driving or doing stunts or whatever can be good at times too.
I’m an 40 year old gamer from Sweden. I joined a few days back after being a lurker for a couple of months or so. I rarely interact with people on social media anymore. I grew up in the “good ole’ days” when the internet was more about meeting potential new friends from around the globe instead of it being about insulting your “enemies”, so to speak. I must say I’m quite impressed by the community here on this forum. The discussions seem to be generally positive, and not even close to being as hostile as some other parts of the internet. I’ve been reading some of the other gaming related boards, subreddits and so on, but none of them gave off as healthy of a vibe as Xbox Era. So the choice to sign up was an easy one in the end. I hope I can get along with rest of you and discuss our shared interest of gaming.
I used to be a SEGA kid back in the day but found my way onto the other platforms as soon as I got a job and have been platform agnostic ever since. I do have a soft spot for Xbox though, since the industry never felt the same after SEGAs departure as a platform holder. Having a third, and more importantly, a western platform in the industry is not something to be underestimated. I did leave Xbox after the 360 generation when they royally shit the bed with the Xbox One. Coming back to the platform feels good though. Xbox seems to have matured, found it’s footing again and this community seems to reflect that growth.
I’m mostly into RPGs, both western and eastern style. It’s more the roleplaying aspects that catches my fancy though, the theatre of the minds, and not necessarily the stats, dice rolls etc. So seeing Xbox going so hard down the WRPG path is sweet music to my ears. But also their blossoming relationship with SEGA. Having the Persona series on Xbox is something I hoped would happen for a long time, and now that we are here it’s almost unreal.
Anyways, hope you’re all having a great summer and manage to find the time to enjoy the sun and squeeze in some quality gaming time.
Hello everybody,
I am an old gamer (41) living in the Netherlands (even though I am not Dutch ).
My first consoles were a Spectrum 128k and a Commodore 64, followed by a Game Boy. From there, I have owned both PS and Xbox from the first iteration and built my gaming PC for certain titles (Civilization, AoE, etc).
Nowadays, it is becoming difficult to find people and games to relate to, especially if you are not the demographic target they are trying to hit, hence my tendency to not actively participate in forums or online gaming sessions until now. After reading this introduction thread, I saw many relatable people and said: let’s try it
Speaking of video games, I don’t have a favourite genre. I like most of them: RTS, 3rd person, open world, puzzle, point and click, rouge-like, etc. I usually don’t like first-person shooters (except when they have an amazing story behind them).
Story, art and music are what are driving me into a game
I hope to find other people to share this passion with. Feel free to add me if you want. My gamer tag is: Paythos
