Hello everyone! I’ve been listening to the XboxEra podcast and Had me at Halo for the past year. Have really enjoyed your candor and the only gaming podcast I look forward too.
XboxEra is now the first Patreon I support and hope to give back more in the future.
I’m an og Xbox owner, as the first console I bought with my own money in highschool and have continued to own the next generations. I also play Nintendo with family (only one my wife feels comfortable playing) and hit up the Playstation big exclusives when I can.
Getting older my gaming time has dwindled but being able to listen, read and talk to a mature like minded community has kept me feeling engaged in gaming. And most importantly Halo is out again and it’s awesome.

Hello everyone, I’m Earendil (Elrond’s daddy, for all you LoTR fans out there). I’m an old gamer who lives in Florida. Back in the old days, I was a fan of both Nintendo and Sega so I never got to fight in the not-so-glorious console wars of old. These days, I’m still mostly platform-agnostic. I have a Switch, PS4, PS5, and a gaming PC. I’m looking to get a Series S soon. I’ve been saving up my Amazon rewards from their store card and have just about enough to pay for half of it. So I figure near the beginning of the year, once the holiday rush has died down, I’ll pick one up.
I’ve never had an Xbox because I usually had a gaming PC to play those exclusives. But my kids want to play Forza and Flight Simulator, and since I don’t like them touching my PC, I decided to get a Series S for them (and really, for me too).
I like long walks on the beach, pina coladas, racing games, and adventure games.
I’m looking forward to meeting everyone and having some great conversations.

Cool that you noticed. Totally underrated character. The show sort of dipped in the later seasons, whereas Doof kept getting stronger and more personable.

Hello everyone! I’m sheeldz, he/him pronouns.
I am 36yo and been a gamer for a long time - dad’s Spectrum is my first memory, but first experience being that blue hedgehog on the Mega Drive.
I was born in Glasgow and live there now, but been a bit of a journeyman living in Aberdeen, Houston TX and the Lake District in the past ten years.
I got my first Xbox, an OG Crystal, in 2003. I was a veteran of the Dreamcast Wars, and felt an affinity for a controller with essentially the same design. I picked up a 360 in 2007 (and got it repaired three times, of course 
). When I moved to the US I got a Xbox 360 S Reach Edition, and then when I came back to the UK got a Xbox 360 S Black and swapped the HDDs. The NTSC 360 now lives in Canada with my in laws.
I skipped the Xbox One - I fell away from gaming between 2012 and 2017, when I picked up a Switch. Loved it and never was left wanting for a new Xbox… Until Game Pass.
Last month I grabbed a Series S as a bonus with my new phone at Black Friday and haven’t been able to stop playing it since!
Games currently into - Forza Horizon 5 (ooh look at them graphics!), Halo Infinite (ooh look at them grapleshot!), New Super Lucky’s Tale (ooh look at them cuteness!) and Cities Skylines Xbox One (ooh look at Sim City done properly!).
I’m married with a partner and two kids. And happy to not lurk anymore and take part here!

Hi I’m James.
Been around the forum for a while now.
I’m a 39 year old industrial painter in the shipyard where the Titanic was built in Belfast, Northern Ireland.
I’ve been on Xbox from around 2004 on the original Xbox and now onto the Series X since launch.
I’d say I’m more of an Ubisoft style of game owner. Tom Clancy is my favourite author growing up and the early Ghost Recon 2 online games had me hooked in my younger years. Getting older now the slower style of Assassins Creed and Far Cry now suit me better.
Never been into any of the Xbox 1st party line up bar Forza really… although that’ll change in the future and I’m definitely looking forward to the likes of Avowed, Hellblade 2, Elder Scrolls 6 etc…
Here’s to a far healthier gen on the Series X, than the lean years of Xbox One.
