Immortals Fenyx Rising

Even the saved data uploaded to the cloud ?

Save often and manually quit the game after every game session is what I did to avoid the issue.

You have to manually select which save file which is saved to the cloud.

? The XBox will upload your data to the cloud automatically. That’s one of the best parts of Xbox you don’t even need to be paid subscriber, either. You can just log in on any Xbox and all your game saves are there and will be synched as soon as you start playing.

Its a shame MS gets so little credit for it

I’m aware of how Xbox saves are normally handled, I’m talking about the “Online Save” save feature in Immortals. For that feature you have to manually select which save files (with a maximum of four files) are sent to the cloud.

Why use that?. Just let the game save

The same reasons why cloud saves are convenient, being able to pick up where you left off on another device and in this case it’s also used for cross platform progression.

With the added bonus of having a backup in the event you get the “corrupted save files” bug.

I think you are just looking for issues and btw you can save up to 6 times on Save Online

I’ve dropped over 150 hours into the game, not trying to find issues. No offense, but I’m just answering your uninformed responses about a known issue with the game (acknowledged by Ubisoft) as well as personal experience. And you are also 100% wrong about the online saves, it is capped out at 4… Test it out for yourself if you don’t believe me, If you try to upload a fifth save, you will be prompted to overwrite an existing save file.

For those of you who have had save issues, were you connected online while playing the game? Or off-line?

To Ubisoft Online?

Is your console connected online when playing Immortals which in turn means you’re connected to Ubisoft’s servers? If so, that could always be a reason for the save issues. Could be 100% wrong but I believe that there’s a better chance of having issues with the game you’re playing while connected online as opposed to being off-line especially if it’s a single player focused game as opposed to an online multi-player game.

You can’t launch the game without being connected to Live. TBH it blows my mind that Ubisoft hasn’t resolved the issue yet.

I know that for the first time, you need to start the game online in order to verify it which in of itself is one of my complaints for Xbox since you don’t have to do this on PlayStation. However, after that first time, I have launched and played every game off-line excluding The Division 2 for obvious reasons.

I launched Immortals for example connected online as I had that pop-up message saying that I needed to be online to start the game. I did this the first time and that was it. I believe that the “reserved save space” before playing the game verifies that the game has been validated.

Even worse though is that except for Watch Dogs Legion, all my Series X games have been digital and I still had to validate them online. Not a fan of this at all.

Once I install the game (disc or digital), I should be able to just play the game especially since updates tend to cause issues at times especially for Ubisoft games.

I just confirmed that being connected to Live is a requirement to play the game. You will be able to go the the title screen but it will eventually crap out then the "you are “required to be online” will pop up.

No, it’s not. I played over 100 hours in Immortals and except for that first day launching the game, I was off-line. No bullshit. I also played WD Legion, Valhalla and Hivebusters all off-line after the initial launch for validation.

Here are the steps I’m taking:

  1. Settings > Network settings > Go offline

  2. Launch game

-Receive the “Checking for additional content…”, The game will eventually crap out.

  1. Re-launch the game

Pop up screen will come up stating that my console must be online and to set my console as my Home Xbox.

But getting back to original question, the console is online 100% of the time.

Maybe it has to do with your console settings because I haven’t once clicked on “go off-line” at all since I have had the console. Are you connected online, then select “go off-line” while still being connected? Maybe that’s the issue.

I get the checking the additional content as well but it goes straight to the main screen. I can then just continue my saved game or continue the A New God DLC.

I have the console set as my home console and only had the “go online” pop-up for the first time I was trying to play the game. But after the first time for validation, I have never received that pop-up again and that’s with over 100 hours in Immortals, around 25 for Valhalla, 30 or so with WD Legion and about 5 with Hivebusters. In all that time, I never had that pop up a since time after the initial setup and first time starting the game for validation.

It must have something to do with your console settings or maybe you’re console isn’t the primary. Do you have other consoles and users in your house? If so, that’s perhaps the reason.

I’m 100% sure it’s related to my console not being set to my Home Xbox as I use Gamesharing with my kids Series S.

150 hours? That’s more than enough for almost any game
