Immortals Fenyx Rising

Nothing really. It’s just that after 100 hours in 2+ weeks, I simply had my fill of all the puzzles and challenges. With that said, I have the digital gold edition so I could always go back to it. If anything, it’s more of just wanting a break from the game.

Ahh, I can understand that. I’m super into it, the puzzles are more challenging which I was wishing was the case in the base game.

It’s definitely more of a “me” issue than the game as I loved the base game.

Finished the DLC except for one chest. So friggin good, as already discussed the DLC is basically vaults and arenas but with the difficulty turned up a couple of notches. Even with that the gameplay is still fresh with the introduction of new abilities at Fenyx’s disposal, everything about the game is so tight and polished.

No arguments here. I know the game itself is excellent. I just needed a break. Will go back to it in March after I complete Valhalla/Gears Tactics.

Just wrapped it the DLC completely. I love the world they created, can’t wait to jump into the new content. Makes me even more excited for a future sequel.

Definitely looking forward to the second and third expansions for Immortals. Hoping the game sells more than 10m because if it does, I would say that a new Immortals set in a new mythology is pretty much guaranteed since Ubisoft loves franchises as opposed to a new IP being a one and done.

I just started this yesterday, the gameplay seems fun but very Ubisoft and goodness do I really despise the Zeus “comedy”. It’s been a good podcast game so far. One thing I’ve noticed is there seems to be some screen tearing on my LG C7 on Series X (performance mode). Is this something that’s been noted for this game?

Wrapped up all the DLC achievements, I also managed to mop up the last two chests that I missed in the base game. I now have every item (Phosphor, Mount, Sword, Axe, Helmet, Wings), with every skin, maxed out. I can’t get enough of this game.

Side note: Does anybody know what the max Mastery Level is for items?

The second DLC is based on Chinese mythology so I think that’s a safe bet. They still have so many more gods to explore in Greek mythology, either way I’m all in for anything to do with this series.

Agreed. Me too!!!

As for Mastery Levels, im not 100% sure but I think the max level is 99.

99 is a bit crazy, that would be “one hit” kill territory.

According to Reddit, the max level is 60 if true.

As far as I know the second and third expansions are a fresh start in regards to the character.

That seems a tad bit more attainable, but would still require an insane amount of grinding.

TBH my Fenyx is already OP as is (I love it), any level increases would be multiple cherries on top.

TITLE UPDATE 1.1.1 brings fixes and a new Gears Loadout!

I bought it on sale. I tried the demo, but I still don’t know if it’s for me. I’m hoping for the best. I quite like the cartoonish/BOTW aesthetic, so there is that. I’m less sure about the combat. I’ll post my impressions in a few days. :slightly_smiling_face:

This a little overlooked gem of a game. Looks and sounds great, plays very well and even the script is genuinely funny.

I shelved my playthrough if this a couple of days ago after losing 2 evenings of progress including an essence vault to the corrupted save bug. So anyone thinking of starting a run through might want to wait 'til this is fixed.

Top tip for Ubi. If you detect a corrupted save and then flag it as such it might be an idea to flash up an error on screen at that point so that the person playing the game knows it has happened and doesn’t keep playing for ages making progress that will be lost.

Great game and a good surprise. It’s exactly what I need right now. I love the puzzles… I always love good physic based puzzles like in BOTW’s shrines, so it’s right up my alley. It’s the right amount of complexity, so you never feel stupid. The BOTW inspiration is blatant, but there is that Ubisoft feel that is mixed into it, which makes it feels different enough. Combat is also really good with powers and many options, most of them found in AC Odyssey but a bit more strategic. My only complaint is that even on normal many ennemies have a lot of HP. My hands hurt a bit after big fights. I’m not too far into it, but I feel like not rushing it to make it last. I also really like this type of comedy that feels like a saturday morning cartoon. Really refreshing.
