I feel like Sega would want more time between release and the announcement but we’ll see. I’d much rather it sooner.
Things can get pushed down the line though, right? Like how Jeff Grubb was talking about the Mass Effect remaster thing a good while before it was even announced.

There’s no way it’s coming next month.
Yakuza and Kingdom hearts was announced officially and then came to gamepassor in KHs case just on sale) 3-4 months later.
I feel something as big Persona would have to be announced officially early. And ms need some good holiday gamepass games too.
You can’t really crowd gamepass with too many same type of games at once. You sort of need to let them breathe.
I don’t know how long octopath will be on there or DqXI. My guess is if persona comes on there it will be after those cycle out. Summer or fall sound likely. That’s if they come at all.

I don’t think I’ll ever understand this concept, but if this is indicative of a push into Japan and leads to more Japanese games then by all means, throw all the money you feel necessary at these vtubers.
Eh, I don’t watch them either, but these streams are not intended for us anyway. Different markets require different marketing after all lol. These Vtubers are freaking HUGE over there and are supposedly directly responsible for PC gaming starting to really grow in Japan (both of these streams are PC Game Pass too). It only makes sense for MS to get some sponsored streams with them showcasing Game Pass going.
Oh yeah, by all means, live and let live. No concern of mine what people enjoy watching, and I’m sure that the people in charge of this kind of decision have thought about it more than I have (that is to say, not at all).
Cant wait for Persona on switch and Xbox its going too be amazing.

Lol they should get Pikamee and Tomoshika on board next, they are vtubers that play Minecraft a lot and are hilarious and super entertaining.
Pikamee for example speaks both Japanese and English very well so there’s more reach than just strictly Japanese audience.
That’s all fine and dandy. They still need a lineup that the Japanese will take to. Hardware sales of xbox is so low I’m trying to figure out what their plan is.
Maybe to try and sell the series s as this next gen gamepass box. Not sure if the gamepass library is different?
I didn’t see a 200 percent xbox hardware increase in Japan last week though.

Consoles in general are selling worse. Handheld switch is booming.
Series xs might outsell 1 overall over there.
But right now Japan doesn’t give a shit about home consoles. Ps4 barely sold over 7 million.
Not exactly a fair assessment when it’s also sold out over there (which Xbox One was never at any point in time in Japan). MS is just sending super low stock to them. Now don’t get me wrong, the Series X|S will not be a success in Japan. It just will never happen. MS will be instead pushing for Game Pass PC and Xcloud in Japan instead, which is the smarter thing to do.
Well VTuber is no that different from the regular streamer. People are sleeping with the anime girls pillows so…To each their own.
