I don’t know, I have been playing it like streets of rage, just smashing the combos.
I did enable it, but it was out my line of sight so I got rid of it, trying to listen to the music and the game’s flow.
What I think I have realised is that I was playing the game wrongly. I thought that you pressed the buttons for the combo before the next beat - that’s what it said, press and then he’ll hit on the next beat - so I was trying to fit in the combos before the next beat. Doesn’t seem like this was the intent.
I have been playing it as hit with X, then fit Y and X in before the beat, not X, beat, Y, beat, X, beat. That makes a lot more fucking sense. Christ.
Honestly, sometimes I need a baby-level tutorial for games.
Although this game ended up not being for me gameplay wise, I’m super glad it came out and was so great because it gave a boost to many Xbox players who would be otherwise gloom and dooming a lot more right now .
Looks like everyone on XCast gave it a 5/5. I don’t think KF is tracked on MC or OC, but still good. I didn’t expect Mike or Parris to be as high on it as they were because it didn’t seem like their type of game. Seeing Blessing’s tweets over the week I kind of figured he would give it a 5.
I am at track 8 and loving it, but it makes me wonder this game would be even better if the xbox controller had haptics. I think having haptics would’ve helped with timing the beat
I have. finished the last one last night. There are 16 doors in total, when you beat the first 8 another 8 unlock from the hideout (speak to peppermint). At least 2 of the second set are harder versions of the set in set 1. IDK if this helps, but I found doors 13 and 14 quite challenging, but 15-17 incredibly easy. I would recommending maxing out the chips that reduce the assistant cool downs as that is vital for one door.
Thanks I have just got to door 5 where you have to dodge and then counter with your ally. I seem to get to the last one and run out of time every single time. I spend most my time waiting for them to attack so I can dodge.
Honestly, best way to get through it is time the beat in your head. Also, if you hit certain checkpoints you get a better spot to start it. I feel that boss ruins flow of the game and same with timing breaks. I wish those moments weren’t in the game, but I get it since rhythm is an important aspect but I felt they were unnecessary
I’m at the same point, can get to the part where you have to parry the attacks with nearly full health, but just can’t do the parrying and end up dyeing every time.
I managed to beat the one where you have to take out the enemies in a time limit without getting hit , just before the Mimosa boss fight. There is one where you have to beat the enemies without moving (using the left joystick) that one was the hardest for me. Haven’t passed it yet
Ah, I got past that one by spamming X, as it automatically moves you towards the enemies. When you are close enough you can do your own thing and obviously spam your allies in-between.
If you can parry counter with your ally that helps get rid of them quickly too.
