Ah, I see what you mean. It doesn’t read that way too me but I’m always a bit pessimistic.
Even from that angle I can’t really say I agree, yes 2022 lacked AAA first party games but since the current gen consoles released there has still been more first party titles on Series S/X that had me interested compared to those on the PS5.
The first two years of PS5 was mostly remakes and directors cuts which I had already played, it wasn’t until 2022 when we got Horizon Forbidden West and Ragnarok.

The Xbox releases received a lot of accolaids from places outside of TGA. So I don’t see that being what they meant either.

Just fought Korsica and Oh man, if you don’t get the beat of the counter, this is going to be a hard fight. Lucky I’m playing in Normal and it only took 2 turns, still somehow keeping my B average after each stage (have had 1 A so far).
I beat the game today after around 17 hours, I took my sweet time with it and maybe had it on idle a few times. That’s what Steam says

I’m so in favor of a sequel for Hi-Fi Rush, this is one of my new favorite games and I’d love to see them make a sequel. Higher budget for music licensing, keep the scale the same, and let Tango do anything they want. They could be the best studio under Xbox Game Studio right now.

It’s funny how Tango brings out something like this after many doubted their ability and it’s a completely different style of game and people worry about Fable with Playground Games, a studio that is highly rated. I don’t think it makes sense to tie studios down to their “typical” type of game honestly.

The sad part is, I’m willing to bet when Ghostwire received a good but not that great reception critic wise, the haters probably laughed and wave a white tissue saying, “Bye bye. Continue to be mediocre for trashbox.” This game proved anyone and I mean anyone can shell out greatness. I bet they are afraid of other studios that doesn’t have best track record soon to have a banger under their belt.

There’s more playthroughs I’m gonna be doing for this one, already on my second at the moment. This game feels even better on the second playthrough, the more stuff you unlock the more exciting the combat is, and the flow feels even faster.
Make sure you look at the painting in the hideout between missions and press Y to unlock everything, its how you get a bunch of chips and points to spend in the shop.
