Hi-Fi RUSH |OT| The Evil Ry-thm

True but I do think a lot of people rush through the games just so they can say they’re short games, especially nowadays.

The fact this is the next step to bash is laughable.

Hi-fi isn’t even 6 hours anyway, the average seems to be around 10-11

How dare you to correct the course on the narrative to destroy this game by any mean necessary!

That was probably his intent, so mission accomplished I guess.

How bad is this?

The wasteland that has been the Xbox release schedules for the last few years limits the accolades we can give the game

Basically they are saying they can’t score it more than a 8 because Xbox has no games.

I think game of all sorts of different length is fine. It all depends on the game really.

Cultists, rotten to the core.

We’ve seen some BS from the media in the last few years (especially about Xbox) but this one? this one is god-tier levels of nonsense and stupidity. :phil_lmao:

Also the salt is real and apparently we haven’t seen shit yet. :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes:

It is a sham. It’s nothing but a tax for console players because they know people will pay it unquestioned.

Yeah it’s a console tax because they know pc gamers will reject it. However, that price is creeping into the pc market

This stupid idiocy will bring us closer to ChatGPT writing all future reviews and i’m starting to believe this is a good thing.

Its a bad thing

Yeah, that’s on-brand for The Metro, seems they’ll dig for any excuse to knock an Xbox title. I still remember them listing a con of “it’s not an actual game” for Flight Sim.

People reposting and discussing articles like that one is literally the reason these articles exist. We are living in the age of clicks, what gets clicks produces money. Articles like that one is what I’d write as well if it was my job to draw attention, probably you too. I’d bet money a lot of people writing or publishing articles like that one don’t even know what xbox or ps even looks like, let them do their job and you do yours and don’t pay attention.

I think they mean accolades, as in awards. What they are clumsily trying to say is because there hasn’t been many games released by Xbox saying it is one of the best games released by xbox is actually damming with faint praise. It’s like saying Sonic Frontiers is the best sonic game in ten years - the lack of games means that the accolade (read: award) isn’t really the win that it might have been.

The software situation on Xbox is considerably different than the Switch though and Hi-Fi Rush has not been ignored. Which is a good job because it’s the best exclusive on Xbox Series X.

Admittedly, that’s not saying much, given this is also the first Xbox Series X exclusive to be published by Microsoft themselves. The wasteland that has been the Xbox release schedules for the last few years limits the accolades we can give the game but it’s a breath of fresh air for Xbox gamers,

Imo, you’re all reading too much into it. In the article, in context, it doesn’t say they’ve marked it down because of that. It’s badly written but I don’t see the heretical ill intent.

The one thing I expect to happen is comparison in the future. I’m willing to bet they will do it with that Sony now-exclusive hack and slash from Korea.

That’s how i read it as well.

Even though I kinda disagree with the notion that there weren’t any great exclusives. Ori, Infinite campaign, FH5, Pentiment etc.

It’s a shite review regardless with multiple odd takes
