Halo TV Series arrives March 24th on Paramount+. Full Trailer now Online

I thought it looked like a TV show, and a pretty good one.

Can it beat BSG as the best scifi show ever? Who knows!

Cool your jets in here people. It’s just a show. :sunglasses:

Nothing will ever beat BSG.

Literally the pinnacle of TV Show Sci-Fi.

I didn’t even mind the ending.

Only seen Mandalorian and it had quality production.

Is this that Metaverse I hear so much about?

Also really you couldn’t turn the Paramount Ring around the logo into a Halo?!

This is cool af lol

Boba Fett has drop in quality at spots, not even talking story or plot, but the special effects were bad, as Prog already shared the Vespa Chase scene.

It was the first time you really feel these were people standing in front of a giant screen showing UE4 assets.

I would have never expected to hear the SpongeBob Pirate captain hum the Halo theme.

I’ll also assume the MCU shows can be inconsistent like that too. Even few MCU movies were like that sometimes not long ago lol

The MCU stuff really holds up well but I think that’s because they’re mostly one-offs or not reliant on huge set pieces.

It doesn’t have that “looks like a TV show” feel to it which is ironic considering most of the complaints about Phase 1 and 2 was how the movies looked like TV shows.

Call of Duty should be a series like Band of Brothers just with Task Force 141 :bosmanright:

You’re going to get Dwayne Johnson in Call of Duty directed by Michael Bay and you’re gonna like it.

That can be Black Ops :joy:

Also minor nitpick, why is Halsey and Cortana two different actress even more so with Jen Taylor’s voice.

shakes fist

I think Cortana is actually Jen Taylor and not just her voice.

I can’t tell. This article makes it seem like Halsey and Cortana ARE the same actress but Jen Taylor doing the VO, but also maybe Jen Taylor replaces all of Halsey’s actress scenes?

I think Cortana is the only thing that made me really uncomfortable. Kinda hoping they just replace her with a 3d model rather than some edited actor.

Other than that it looks interesting

Halsey’s actress just wasn’t able to complete Cortana’s scenes so the got Jen.

Cortana, the AI that assists (and occasionally turns on) Master Chief throughout the game series, was originally due to be played on TV by Natascha McElhone, who was cast in a dual role, also playing Cortana’s creator, Dr. Catherine Halsey. Due to scheduling difficulties caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, McElhone can no longer complete her work as Cortana - but will continue in the role of Halsey.

Cortana just looks weird because they obviously decided against CGI which could also look weird when nothing else is. I think she will grow on me.
