I wonder if the existence of a Switch version will mitigate that a bit. Those articles already have a reputation for just being fanboy tears, but if there are still articles about how itās unfair even after the game is on Switch/PC/Xbox then that person is not even trying to hide their bias.

I stopped caring about the media since the day I noticed a lot of gaming journalists here in Brazil write reviews after playing just the first stage.

I donāt understand why now, itās literally a 360 port of a N64 game (literally a relic of the past), moreover murdered by Nintendo at the time, also only VERY boomer people can be waiting for this, Iām old for gaming standards and this thing is even older than my time (I started playing videogames more or less when it launched, but more kids oriented things obviously). At least this would be the very FIRST MS/Nintendo collaboration with something for Xbox players, a thing which is āforgottenā most of the times. XD
Because nostalgia makes big money, Spiderman just had itās biggest money maker ever because of it and Nintendo has been banking on nostalgia for 30 years
This isnāt for people that missed out on goldeneye in the 90s or for zoomers
The game is very well designed and the way they handle difficulty levels are a thing I donāt see in current games despite being an excellent idea. The game just needed updated graphics and a modern control schema, which this version will probably do.
Looking to the past is a great way to rethink decisions made and choose what can be useful for the future. Breath of The Wild, Halo Infinite and Super Mario Odyssey are great because they did this.

Perfect Dark HD already did have modern controls (dual analog and it even had Halo and CoD like presets) so this is a given.
I guess I am a boomer (more like Gen X in reality though) since I am excited to revisit this game.

Iām also not denying the nostalgia factor. Even today I love playing my Nintendo 64, the good games from N64 are really huge.

Thatās the thing for all XGS games, Halo included. Looking at their marketing effort youād guess Deep Silver had more money than MS. XD
That would be exciting, not an old relic coming from the dead. XD
Still convinced it was a mistake, like Deathloop, Ghostwire and such, general public still have resistance for Hellblade 2 being an Xbox game, you donāt change that perception with multiplatform remasters, on the contrary you feed the opposite notion. Their ācoolā behaviour will come to bite them back in the future.
I doubt this game will make huge money, which is also why I donāt get the timing, Nintendo screwed it when originally developed, why greenlighting now.

I like Perfect Dark but never played Goldeneye. Iāll definitely check this out.
To say Iām all over this would be a huge under statement.

And it seems itās Xbox and Switch only? As it should. Itās not that Iām like āf you PS gamers, not for you.ā But I agree with those here saying it would just be weird. Sony doing all they can to make life hard for Xbox, but X allows Goldeneye on PS? Naw.

I really donāt care about how people want to play their games, but xbox should stop caring a bit about media opinion - since their bias wonāt change - and be more bad guys in topics like exclusivity and marketing partnership. Currently it is an asymmetrical competition.
