I have no idea what this even means. At the end of the day XSX should come out on top, good thing exactly that is happening more and more now.
They do mention that the lower bounds found are not in like for like scenarios, but in general they stick to their target resolutions.
Weird that Ps5 is also 1440p, didnât they say it would be 1080p?
X has better framerate overall. Both are pretty much locked.
Itâs essentially the same. In hindsight, the 1080p120 tweet makes no damn sense.
Yup! Thatâs what i am referring to. PS5 is well above 1080p

Four months ago huh? Just showing up nowâŚ
Maybe itâs just me but shouldnât a game like this easily run at a full native 4K/60 FPS on something like XSX and PS5 hardware? Am I just expecting too much, because wow. Is it like 1080p or lower on One X then or something?
Wonder where he got those numbers from yeah. Thereâs no excuse for that if that turns out to be true. I guess in that case not every developer has overcome the âobstaclesâ yet.
None of this really matters since Vicarious Visions was sacrificed to Blizzard, so weâre not getting Tony Hawk 3+4 or THUG 1+2 by anybody who actually matters.
I mean do you remember Tony Hawk Pro Skater HD by Robomondo?
Itâs from the vg tech video, but they said the situations where they found the lower bounds on each platform were not like for like, so it could be that they drop to the same low.
And they also said the game commonly sticks to the target resolution on all 3 consoles on all modes
Hmmm, I see!
I canât help but believe more could have been done here, for both systems. It doesnât really seem to be all that demanding, definitely expected the full native 4K package here. Or maybe I just need to start setting my expectations of current gen accordingly.
They do hit 4k60 most of the time, this is what matters more, the bottom is just so it can lock to the target fps which would be more noticeable than a momentary drop.
Edit: To offer more insight. Think of it the other way around. Without dynamic resolution scaling (which is often the norm on PC for example) youâd need a way stronger machine than the consoles in order to deliver the same perceived experience.
We saw that on AC Valhalla, Watchdogs⌠And Outriders is also another upcoming demo that judging by the demo would need a far more powerful hardware than SX to deliver the same perceived experience.
Basically because the hardware isnât powerful enough to sustain the resolution and framerate at all times, and since those games do not support dynamic resolution scalling you either need to set them to resolutions below what it can achieve and underutilize the hardware, or force to a higher res and see fps drops bigger than what you see on console. Or buy an even more costly hardware that is then able to lock at 4k60
WTF is your post trying to accuse them of? Some Xbox fans here are WAY too touchy and reactive. Chillax. He posted figures that others were discussing. Bringing more info to the thread should be welcomed.
Back off.
What Iâm saying is itâs odds that for the first time in four months this person shows up in this thread of all thread with that information.
Hasnât posted since as well.
Posted that and ducked out.
Very sus is all Iâm saying.
The Twitter guy literally made that info up wow
Which tweet are ya referencing? I havenât paid attention to whatever is happening wrt Tony Hawk yet today.
The info that said it was 1440p/120 on Series X and 1080p/120 on PS5, it was official promotional material from Activision. That is why these results are weird if they are better than advertised.
I think thereâs a difference between Phil and the person I was referring too.
Donât be willing obtuse.
The idea we should be attacking or trolling others on the basis of them having not posted in a while is absurd. Stop.
This looks REALLY nice visually. 0.0
Observer with next gen update (RT, 60fps on XSS no less!):
