Well, well, well.

Good work. Are there really no loading differences in any of those games?

Let’s not get carried away… :cowboy_hat_face:

1800p is last gen performance.

I’ll say one thing, I never want to see Ryan McCaffrey get made fun of again after seeing how many people are now arguing that the human eye can’t perceive the difference between 1800p and 4K.

The tools where right from the beginning  Can we create a thank you tools thread

Awesome!!! Agent 47 on Xbox Series X just assassinated the inferior Agent 47 on PlayStation 5. lmao.

Thats great news in regards to Hitman and I hope this becomes the norm more and more so that more people will get the message.

Superior performance and combined with constant stream of great quality games, Xbox should gain more good will and momentum.

Crazy how the SSD in the PS5 isn’t pulling ahead more, I know it’s down to games probably aren’t utilizing it fully but will fanboys use that logic when they see it not performing much better than XSX, wouldn’t that be ironic. Also the SSD is going to change the game comments before launch is kinda funny because I haven’t seen many comments about the SSD now that they’re legit within 1-10 seconds on most games.

When you browse a 600 post ResetEra thread about Series X being the best version of Hitman III.

I know I have no issues with Shinobi and he a nice guy. I just think the way he worded it was wrong and thats it.

The disparity between the PS5 and XSX should be the norm going forward if things are optimized correctly.

The specs do not lie.

Best version? I think you’re mistaken, friend. I’ve been informed that the difference between 1800p and 4K resolution is invisible to the human eye, and also that the minute-long segment of the game that takes place in a flower field is the most significant part of the entire experience. So clearly the PS5 version is the best.

Maths clarification here in case anyone is getting confused -

1800p is 69% of the pixel count of 2160p

2160p is 44% more pixels than 1800p

Two ways of saying the same thing, just like how 3 is 50% more than 2, but 2 is 66.66…% of 3.

I don’t know why people say it like this, I guess because it makes it sound less bad? saying X has 44% more pixels over Y sounds like a lot because it kinda is. I find all the comparisons funny because how quick either side jumps on something that didn’t matter before or dismiss something that did matter but now it doesn’t.

Goal posts always be moving, interesting to see where they go in future. XSX having more performance is not a shock and has always been expected by me so to see people try to make up some excuse why this is happening or why it doesn’t matter makes me chuckle.

4K60 on a console is nuts after coming from last gen 900p30, I’m probably the only one but I don’t actually count the mid gen upgrades as the 8th gen console when comparing, I use the base consoles because that was the launch console like Series X is the launch console this gen.

Also I’m pretty sure 1800p vs 2160p is close to the same margain between 900p and 1080p back in the day which is funny.

Had a nice laugh in the 2 pages of that Era thread.

I just saw this comment…

200p is nothing at that resolution on a 4k screen.

Aka about a 1.2m pixel difference.

another good chuckle

“Either Series X is punching above its weight, or PS5 is punching below its weight. The difference this game manifests is bigger than the difference in power between the two. This is verified by the PS5 version having more GPU headroom in the heavy-load sections like the field of flowers.”

Wonder whether anyone here can confirm what I have heard. Apparently devs are not coding the XSX and PS5 CPUs the same. I heard that all these early games are only being done on the XSX using single threaded cores, while on the PS5 they are using multithreads on the CPU.
