Shit, I still got X/X-2, DQ11, Tales of Vesperia, and Neir Replicant in the future, along with World of Final Fantasy Maxima, and the 7/8/9 Remasters.

Apart from Yakuza and Nier Automata all these japanese games are imho incredibly overrated. On the other hand I’m not into anime or jailbaitstuff either so I suppose I’m not the target audience.
I enjoy a lot of Japanese games and I’m not big into anime and certainly not into “jailbaitstuff”. Good games are good games no matter where they come from.

I haven’t thought much about their sources on Japanese games skipping Xbox since they said the same thing about Soul Calibur VI and Devil May Cry 5.
Banding all Japanese games together isn’t really a fair comparison. The country the games are made in isn’t relevant to their quality. Resident Evil 7 and Idolmaster are both Japanese games that are literally the exact opposite of each other. If someone said “western games are over rated” you’d probably find that to be a weird statement considering how many western games there are.

Yeah it usually is used by people who don’t plau very many Japanese games. Most Japanese games I play don’t even have an “anime” style.

True, that was a bit generalizing of me. It’s mostly the anime-stuff I dislike. This is my opinion though, like I said. I also said overrated, that doesn’t necessarily mean they are bad.

Well yeah you don’t play any JRPG it seems. No big Japanese game has any of that. We are not talking about “these” games. Your argument is like somebody would say: well yeah gears is a shooter and therefore military porn.
Disliking something is fine but at least know what you talk about when you come with such an argument 
Overrated implies that something is regarded universally good but in reality there so much better stuff.
Well, you know what I am no stranger to challenging my opinions. Like you say, I may not have enough experience to know what I’m talking about. It’s based of off my impressions, which might be wrong. Which game would you recommend I try to get a better impression?
That doesn’t mean it’s bad-bad though.
Xenoblade Chronicles, it is a fun addictive game with a grand epic story and amazing writing.
Is that only for the Switch? Is it the “Definitive Edition” or 2 ?
