Do you think Starfield, Fallout, The Elder Scrolls, Doom, and all other Bethesda IP will be Xbox/PC exclusive? Why or why not?

Ah the over the top WORLD PREMIER from E3 2017. The most useless phrase XBox ever trotted out.

Now it will be used for a good reason…

I just want 2 words from now on - MICROSOFT EXCLUSIVE

Only on Xbox/PC/Cloud

Next E3 will be pure fire

I know it’s too late to put the PC genie back in the bottle, but FFS do not give your crown jewels to f-en Sony!

100% agree!

This is like Netflix putting their content on Hulu.

It won’t happen, all these games will be Xbox Exclusive on console/PC/Cloud. MS built an entire ecosystem and have a $299 console so people buy into the ecosystem.

Microsoft is investing so they can get 100 million+ Game Pass subscribers, rather that trying to recover their investment by selling games.

1 minute is for wimps. Try 1 hour!

What I realized last night is: between Microsoft and Sony, actually Sony is the one which has released more IPs on platforms they don’t own (Windows). Microsoft released just Minecraft (all around) and Ori (Switch). Sony? Well…

AND Horizon Zero Dawn.

So, all this time of gaming media and Youtubers saying that Microsoft has always released their games on other platforms, that it makes sense, that if they want to keep this pro-consumer/goodwill image (the most stupid argument ever), that no way they won’t bla bla bla, that’s actually one more convenient narrative built to favor Sony.

People honestly get too hung up over Minecraft. It is just a unique situation in that by the time Microsoft bought it it had become it’s own platform. Apart from Minecraft what other game has Microsoft released on PlayStation? That’s right, none. Not even Ori has been released on PlayStation, so there is hardly a track record of Microsoft publishing their games on every platform out there.

That’s why I think Studios like Bungie with their existing long running Destiny Game wouldn’t be a great fit. You would have to support the Playstation version even if owned. WB would have been also very complicated with future big titles already announced for Playstation and with suicide squad probably being another long running game + all the big licenses. Bethesda is honestly one of the best acquisitions they could have made. Privately owned, no long running existing Plattform support for Playstation and they own all their IP.

Some people on media are discovering the obvious. Shocking!

Bethesda is indeed one of the last big low hanging fruit that I can think of and Microsoft made their move for them.

In regards to Bungie, keep in mind that they are developing a new IP, which you can make as a exclusive and you can use Destiny as a constant money if needs be. However, the rumoured price they are asking has put an end to acquisition talks because that kind of money can be better invested elsewhere.

Do they own Death Stranding?

That interview is from 2019 though. I got fooled, sent it to a friend all excited…

Ugh serves me right for not reading it Gonna take a big fat L on that one

Its still relevant though to this day theres no reason to think the games will go to playstation

I agree, but this isn’t a smoking gun.

Only ones I can see being on playstation is the live service ones like ESO and fallout 76 especially if they are free to play
