I liked FFXVâŚâŚ the combat hasnât aged well though and I havenât played the updated ring chapter, but I really enjoyed the characters and story.
I was also going through a lot though at the time, so maybe that made me appreciate some of the bigger moments in the story at that time.
They change the engine mid development from Luminous to Unreal 4. It was also develope by Team Osaka, not Team Tokyo, who are the developer of KH 1+2.
Edit:
Honestly in this time frame the whole development process was a mess. Team Tokyo develope FF versus 13 and had to move KH 3 to Team Osaka, because FF versus 13 was in development hell. At this time Osaka made only smaller KH spin-off games and Nomura had to made two games with two different teams at the same time.
2 games had problems so they moved Nomura full time to KH3 and dumped FF versus 13 to the FF-Type 0 team.
Canât believe I know live in a world where Atlus is more of a friendly multi-platform Third party Pub/Dev Than Square-Enix is. Wild times in the gaming industry.
I was very hyped to see the game years ago but Iâve also heard from some people the hype isnât warranted. That in terms of movement freedom itâs rather limited too and while it could be a plus that the game is so long, apparently quite a bit of stuff is just stretched out and not all that interesting.
Still, I really rather would have experienced that for myself, see how I like it. Guess not. Maybe this was the deal since day one, never a Xbox version on the cards to begin with. Wish it was just communicated.
Balan Wonderworld was shown at the pre-show before last yearâs Xbox Game Showcase. And we know how that game turned out.
Itâs as if Xbox came to Square Enix and asked, âCan we show off a game of yours?â Square turned around, looked at the bottom drawer, pulled out Balan Wonderworld, and said, âWe have this.â
$69.99 for retail price. Sheesh. The discount is their way to rush the audience. I guess Sony and Square really go hand to hand. Now I think about it, I wonder whatâs Starfield retail price would be.
Was disappointed last night but the way Iâm looking at it today is, if Xbox got FF7 as an exclusive I wouldnât be angry at Xbox or SE so I shouldnât be if itâs Sony and SE. Also canât be mad at Sony making a game series exclusive when Xbox has bought two publishers and will be making a lot of those IP exclusive.
I loved CC when I was younger and hope it is as good as I remember it when I play it later this year. The new voices actors sound off though. Zack just sounds annoying.
The difference is that Sony was doing that before MS acquisitions, so I have zero empathy towards Sony and SE. I do wonder what earth shattering move MS will do because they need diverse content in Game Pass.
In fact if not for MS seriously investing into Xbox, Sony would act even worse. So Microsoft should continue acquisitions and make everything exclusive.
A) Acquire SEGA and get the kids games, the RPGâs, the MMOâs and the single player 3rd person games, make them exclusive
B) Behind the scenes outbidding against Sony on exclusive deals. Whatâs that? Sony wants to make the next Bioshock exclusive for X amount? Well hereâs Y amount.
But then they have already bought two publishers, maybe we just need to wait and see the fruits of their labour.
