Crisis Core: FF7 Reunion Announced (coming this Winter to Xbox)

Ff7 remake is yes. It was a well recieved and a great game. Its the best FF game theyve made since 12

Noone is downplaying its significance. But lets wait and see what they do with ff16

I dont want to keep reminding people about FF15 and the abomination that it was

That was the first JRPG I had played in years, what a turn off lol. Was done until I gave Persona 5 a try.

In development hell under Nomura. After that SE wanted to make money so they dumped it to Tabata and even change the name.

At least Nomura can finalize his dream of FF versus 15 on his newest project in Kingdom Hearts 4.

I liked FFXV…… the combat hasn’t aged well though and I haven’t played the updated ring chapter, but I really enjoyed the characters and story.

I was also going through a lot though at the time, so maybe that made me appreciate some of the bigger moments in the story at that time.

I couldn’t get past the male host design of the characters in FF15, that and the terrible open world.

But KH3 was also a fucking mess.

I forgot they have a mobile game. How is it doing really?

They change the engine mid development from Luminous to Unreal 4. It was also develope by Team Osaka, not Team Tokyo, who are the developer of KH 1+2.

Edit:

Honestly in this time frame the whole development process was a mess. Team Tokyo develope FF versus 13 and had to move KH 3 to Team Osaka, because FF versus 13 was in development hell. At this time Osaka made only smaller KH spin-off games and Nomura had to made two games with two different teams at the same time.

2 games had problems so they moved Nomura full time to KH3 and dumped FF versus 13 to the FF-Type 0 team.

They don’t do that for their japanese titles though.

Some child playing on Nintendo: “What is Final Fantasy?” :joy:

Can’t believe I know live in a world where Atlus is more of a friendly multi-platform Third party Pub/Dev Than Square-Enix is. Wild times in the gaming industry.

I don’t blame Square they got the Bag from Sony though it is Sony that is the one that keeping it of off Xbox

Lame but expected. Xbox gamers will be feasting in 2023+ so whatever. Where is Lost Odyssey 2???

I was very hyped to see the game years ago but I’ve also heard from some people the hype isn’t warranted. That in terms of movement freedom it’s rather limited too and while it could be a plus that the game is so long, apparently quite a bit of stuff is just stretched out and not all that interesting.

Still, I really rather would have experienced that for myself, see how I like it. Guess not. Maybe this was the deal since day one, never a Xbox version on the cards to begin with. Wish it was just communicated.

Balan Wonderworld was shown at the pre-show before last year’s Xbox Game Showcase. And we know how that game turned out.

It’s as if Xbox came to Square Enix and asked, “Can we show off a game of yours?” Square turned around, looked at the bottom drawer, pulled out Balan Wonderworld, and said, “We have this.”

I remember. I just want to know who request the game to be on the service, Sony or Square. That must have been amusing to see.

Microsoft should acquire more and to each complaining person, we can show Final fantasy

$69.99 for retail price. Sheesh. The discount is their way to rush the audience. I guess Sony and Square really go hand to hand. Now I think about it, I wonder what’s Starfield retail price would be.

Was disappointed last night but the way I’m looking at it today is, if Xbox got FF7 as an exclusive I wouldn’t be angry at Xbox or SE so I shouldn’t be if it’s Sony and SE. Also can’t be mad at Sony making a game series exclusive when Xbox has bought two publishers and will be making a lot of those IP exclusive.

I loved CC when I was younger and hope it is as good as I remember it when I play it later this year. The new voices actors sound off though. Zack just sounds annoying.

The difference is that Sony was doing that before MS acquisitions, so I have zero empathy towards Sony and SE. I do wonder what earth shattering move MS will do because they need diverse content in Game Pass.

In fact if not for MS seriously investing into Xbox, Sony would act even worse. So Microsoft should continue acquisitions and make everything exclusive.

I think either

A) Acquire SEGA and get the kids games, the RPG’s, the MMO’s and the single player 3rd person games, make them exclusive

B) Behind the scenes outbidding against Sony on exclusive deals. What’s that? Sony wants to make the next Bioshock exclusive for X amount? Well here’s Y amount.

But then they have already bought two publishers, maybe we just need to wait and see the fruits of their labour.
