Yeah I donât mean to pit JRPG vs WRPG, but todayâs FF is not anything like the games you mentioned. Probably closer to Devil May Cry than FF8.
Yeah i feel that. 7, 8, and LOD were in that sweet spot for me. The later ones never felt the same.
Yeah that era of FF is long dead, died with Squaresoft quite frankly

Well we could try and get Phil and co to moneyhat a FF8 or Ff10 remake. Ill pitch in right now just to upset the other fanbase for years to come. Make it PC and cloud only to make it sting a little more lol. Or better yet, if Sony let the copyright slip for Legend of Dragoon remake thatâŚ
Saw the FF7 Rebirth trailer and I wonder if the save file from Intergrade will be required for PS5 or if you can just play the game without having the save file.
FF7R is literally the only FF game that I have ever played for more than 30 minutes and this case, actually completed. Knowing that itâs only a trilogy as opposed to 5 or 6 episodes, I will probably see this through.
Donât see why it would be required. These are all being released as separate games as part of a series.

True. Hope this is the case because I completed it on PS4 Pro and wouldnât want to have to replay the Intergrade in order to play Rebirth. And all my PS4 save files are long gone.
Well they announced Steam version that can be played on Steam Deck. Because they REALLY want to let you know that it can work. It just work. I mean Xcloud would be far more sufficient, but hey, whoâs doing business.

The mobile stuff isnât new, actually. But the Crisis Core remake and FF7R Part 2 (Rebirth) are new, yes.

I stopped supporting SE years ago. I really dislike their inconsistence. 7-15, KH3, DQ11, Crisis Core is on Xbox but not 16, 7R and some smaller games. Mark my word KH4, DQ12 will not be on Xbox.
Seeing as Xbox canât get the traditional SE JRPGs from SE, I think MS should make a deal with Mistwalker to make Lost Odyssey 2 or at the very least make a deal to bring Fantasian to Xbox.
People on here used to downplay the significance of FF and Square Enix but itâs clear from the replies and on Twitter that FF is indeed a big franchise even to western gamers.

No its just you prefer JRPGâs of that style. I do as well to an extent. This is why I canât wait to get back into Persona again. I sort of agree with youâŚES and Fallout never did anything for me. ES was still greatâŚI havenât finished any FO game and donât intend to. I hate post apocalyptic worldâŚalways have. Iâm more of a space guy but even that is hit or miss. Love mass effect but disliked outer worlds.
