Is Tokyo Revengers good? I was watching the pilot but wasn’t as interesting so had left it.
That one I don’t know yet.
I searched for good and short anime for you and I’ve seen a lot, just couldn’t remember the off the top of my head right now. The ones I’ve seen and definitely recommend…
-
Elfen Lied
-
Erased
Saw several episodes of this, didn’t finish yet, but I’d recommend…
-
Deadman Wonderland
-
Another
Another short one is Paranoia Agent. Wasn’t consistently good for me but definitely has its moments.
It’s more drama and talk no jutsu, the fights are hype but the main character just goes in the same loop over and over again. I read the manga and it basically goes on like a that for 200 chapters
Hunter x hunter is my favorite, and I love Yu Yu Hakusho
yeaah no, fuck that lol.
yeah this comes up a lot and I haven’t watched it. I heard Stranger Things had the same story as this? lol
ooh hadn’t heard of either, thanks, will add to list!
HxH isn’t one I’d consider short lol, even though it ends incomplete and the writer has severe back problems so it’s understandable, but 150 ish episodes is quite an amount
Stranger Things? Hmmm, not sure I see that as well. But it’s quite crazy, some truly wtf moments.
yeah that’s what I’d heard, like there’s a human vs demigorgon type thing in it as well or something like that. Also I’ve seen some snippets where it gets pretty gory so gotta get prepared for that coming from wholesome stuff lol
added to list!
Mirai Nikki, btooom, gurren lagann, kyoukai no Kanata, parasyte, beaststars, golden time
Just a few of the top of my head that I rewatched multiple times
I’m pretty sure I’ve watched over 200 anime by now could be more, I have issues
hmm yeah I gotta watch most of those
lmfao I wouldn’t suspect myself too having seen so many I’ve lost count. Maybe not 200 but still plentiful. Maybe my commitment to shorter anime and general growing aversion to anything longform will allow me to cross that threshold.
I advise anyone to not begin HxH, the story will never be finished unfortunately, like Berserk.
Id argue that what is there in Hunter x Hunter is more than worth the watch, even though it will never be “Truly” finished. It ended on a nice spot and wrapped a lot of threads together, regardless of the manga continuing
It’s a masterpiece for me, even unfinished. I do feel like Yu Yu Hakusho can get a remake like how hunter got one so the younger generation can see it since that’s actually sort of finished.
Honestly wish Togashi would just release the rest of the story in light novel form. The manga is getting wordier anyway.
Stranger Things imo is still the best Netflix original on par with The Witcher.
The first season of Stranger Things was good, then it went downhill IMO. Witcher was cool but it’s still one season in, so too early to put it in GOAT status.
Ozark is the best show Netflix has made and it’s not even close.
Still the way the HxH anime ends, I have peace with that. The manga may be going on, but this did feel like sort of closure to me.
Hmm it did have a self contained ending, yet I did feel it ended on a big cliffhanger, like “wait there’s a whole fucking world out there that’s faaaar more treacherous and challenging than whatever Gon has faced till now, ones that his dad has already gone through btw??” Felt like the anime was only picking up in some grand scope but poof, that’s it.
Very true too.
What is the reason they didn’t continue the anime?
