Im Pleasantly suprised at how well they did Infinite Doubles: Sad Mans Parade, with how the animation for the season has suffered because of the movie i figured itd be a bad CGI-Fest, but there was only really noticible CGI in one shot, and the rest blended well cause they were distance shots/ were actual 2d animation. Twice is the best villain, and they did his backstory and actions during the fight justice.
That surprises me because folks on Reddit told me itās very worth it and often as good as Naruto and Shippuden. But thatās not an easy thing to do, and now after reading this I think they may not have been genuine, lmao.
Well there is an active Boruto community filled with people that do enjoy it, but then again there is an active Bleach community on reddit filled with people who enjoyed the last arc and ending of Bleach. So in conclusion it might have been genuine, and a reminder that good taste is not universal .
Bleach I never really have been following, but if Boruto even comes near how great Naruto and Shippuden are then itās a must see for me. But I doubt itās gonna be as good.
In time Iāll check it out, too much other good stuff to check first. The plan now is to take a break from One Piece to continue with Attack on Titan and once Iām up to date with that Iāll go back to One Piece again. Sadly it seems something really big was spoiled for me today. With some of the episodes of One Piece after watching them I go to Myanimealist website forum to see reactions of people, just a thing I like to do.
One poster commented about a certain theme in the episode. I had not seen the spoiler tag yet and accidentally did tap on it with my finger and a seemingly major happening that I assume takes place waaaaaay later in the anime was spoiled for me. Why do I do this shit to myself. Iām just now hoping thereās more to it than what I read, immediately clicked it away too.
How did it get spoiled for you, via a website or tweets? I noticed that when using Chrome on the phone the start page has all kinds of recommended websites and lately itās been showing One Piece here, extremely fucking annoying. Gonna see if I can disable this whole option altogether.
Finished the whole Water 7 arc now, time to pick up on AoT now. Episode 43.
YouTube comments are just the worst. Even if you check out something that really should not contain spoiler commentsā¦it will. The ending to Dexterās season with Trinity got spoiled for me, all because my stupid fucking ass had to check out a trailer of Dexter and then check the comments.
Hopefully it stays that way. Iāve now started with season 3 and just like with the two One Piece arcs I watched I am gonna watch AoT very consistently and Iāll stay away from anything that might spoil it.
If you use Chrome on your phone or tablet I definitely recommend to disable something called Discover. This feature makes a daily list of websites of stuff that you watch or searched for. Iāve searched for the One Piece filler list on Google and that must have triggered these daily One Piece articles, sigh. Iāve thrown that shit off completely.
Itās stupid sites like Screen and Gamerant anyway, and also some good ones like Comicbook but itās not worth risking spoilers.
Soooo I watched and finished Odd Taxi. Thatās three good to great anime back to back in a week.
Horimiya - Cute little coming of age romance story, enjoyed it. Nothing else to say really.
To Your Eternity - the best anime Iāve seen this year (tied with AoT S4 part 1 I guess). Started as some abstract alien sci fi, but turned into something more grounding and truly explorative of several philosophical themes all while being extremely heartfelt. Thereās so many fucking times there was a lump in my throat or legit cried, fuck. Episode 12 and 20 are absolutely gut wrenching
In a way, it reminded to go and complete Dororo which seemed like a very big inspiration for this story. Fushi reminds me so much of Dororo as this mute protagonist who has this mysterious origin but over time learns to speak, and sort of āunlocksā different parts of their psyche and even physical ability. Really recommend it to those who havenāt watched it already. And Iām glad to hear second season has been confirmed for fall 2022, canāt wait!
Odd Taxi - 13 episodes, binged that mf in two days lol. Again, very interesting premise, starts chill but gets into that sweet mystery very quick. Loved the eccentric characters and some pretty dope music lol.
One curious thing was I heard this anime was completed while the manga was still being written, as such there was a thriving reddit for the anime which went to great lengths to theorize and predict what might happen in the next episode, cuz legit no one knew cuz there was no manga source of those episodes to pull from, and people apparently got so many things right, lol thatās great to see, but Iām glad I wasnāt close to any of that and watched the whole thing fresh after it was all complete.
So to whoever recommended Odd Taxi, thanks, that was good!
