Finally finished Fallout: New Vegas. It’s been a long, strange trip but after ten years, it feels nice to finally hit 100% on this game.

Congrats!

I got the platinum in this game when I had a PS3 back in 2011. I was in high school and didn’t have money for games (I could use some Game Pass back then!), but a friend lend the game to me and I loved it! It was my first Fallout aswell! I was never able to get the DLCs, though. I should definitely replay the game and try to go for the full completion!

I tried Morkredd for a bit and I am really enjoying it. I thought it was a co-op only game, but you can play solo with a control scheme similar to Brothers. According to TA I was the first to complete the first level without dying out of 475 gamers, so that’s nice!

Completion #100: Call of the Sea

Another great game courtesy of Game Pass. Great puzzles, gorgeous art style and a very good story. As with every puzzle game, it is a very easy completion if you use a guide. I do suggest playing through the game blindly first as it is very good and you can clear up every missable achievement by using chapter select – including collectibles. Each chapter takes from 15 to 30 minutes only.

And yay to a hundred completions!

Valhalla first, now Cyberpunk - my achievement hunting is severely damaged by two of the biggest and best games of the last years. Not even a complaint, what amazing titles.

My achievement hunting is suffering from not much time to play atm :frowning: Slowly working my way through Gears Tactics which is not very generous on the GS-front hehe. Very good game though!

Cyberpunk is not very generous with achievements at all. I’ve played it everyday since it’s come out and have only unlocked 2 achievements.

I finally got another grindy FIFA 21 achievement out of the way since I reached a 90 overall with my created player. Now I need to reach Division 3 on Volta mode and complete two milestones group of objectives on Ultimate Team.

I won 4 out of my 5 Volta placement matches and still I was placed on Division 4. I suck on this mode, so it will be tough for me to be promoted. I also have completed more than two milestones objectives – but this achievement is (surprise!) bugged and the groups must be completed in a single session. So yeah, I now have to assist 500 times with a 85+ rated squad and list 1.000 player cards for sale in a single session. Bleh

Speaking of buggy achievements… I can’t get a single achievement from the new Forza Horizon 4 DLC to unlock. Should have 4-5 by now, but nope. Not even tracking.

I also keep getting thrown out of online sessions… and get the occasional freeze whilst driving. Something is broken with the game, gonna shelve that for a while.

I did get connectivity issues while I was playing the DLC. I played for 3/4 hours in two different days with that damn message of “unable to connect to Horizon Festival” on the top of the screen. I did not have problems with the achievements, though. They tracked and unlocked correctly – even when I was not connected to the game servers.

Decided to play a little more of Morkredd today and damn, it is addictive! The puzzles are quite simple (especially when compared to Call of the Sea and Manifold Garden) and the game is quite small (there is an option to activate a timer while playing – I’ve reached the last level in 57 minutes). Whenever you die you can quit to the main menu and continue from your last auto-save and you will still unlock the no deaths achievement. And when playing on the Series X there is basically no loading at all, so it is pretty quick to do so.

I just need to finish the last level without dying to unlock some rare achievements: beat the game, beat the game without dying and beat the game in under 120 minutes. Then I have to somehow finish the game in co-op mode while using two controllers, because the game does not have online co-op and I don’t have anybody to play with in those pandemic times :stuck_out_tongue:

During this second playthrough I need to do some miscellaneous achievements + collectibles aswell. But since this is an Xbox console exclusive, there are no guides at all.

Is there any interviews or insight into how achievements get made for games? I’ve always wondered who designs them and why they choose certain activities to be achievements over others. Cyberpunk is a game that does achievements poorly in my opinion so im curious what the person who designed them was thinking.

There was this interview with Dirt 5’s lead game designer a few months ago:

The Last of Us is the worst game for achievements/trophies as far as I can remember. I believe you can finish the game and unlock only the trophy for doing so, as everything else is “Collect ALL of X collectible”, “Craft EVERY weapon”, etc.

DMC4 is a game i played for 13 hours and when credits rolled i only had 40 gamerscore.

That interview was interesting but there’s no way most developers put in as much thought as Codemasters does. I was surprised by how seriously they took it.

Every GamerScore earned from now until Monday, December 21, 2020 1:59 AM will count towards Week 14’s Ranking. Whoever earns the most GamerScore during the week will gain 10 points, the second place will gain 9 points, and so on. Then the Ranking will reset again and a new week will begin.

Every GamerScore earned until Friday, January 1, 2021 1:59 AM will also count towards December’s Ranking. Whoever earns the most GamerScore during the month will gain 100 points, the second place will gain 90 points, and so on. Then the Ranking will reset again and a new month will begin.

Don’t forget that this topic is first and foremost destined to talk about all your achievements and trophies, discuss completions and even try to gather people for a boosting session! The Ranking is just a side activity to take part in.
