Yakuza / Like A Dragon |OT| That's Rad!

Just on the 2nd chapter of 4 myself, and dodgy introduction with Haruka aside, Saejima is shaping up to be a great character.

finished 3 yesterday and tbh while there were a couple of high notes, itā€™s the my least favorite atm

hopefully 4 and 5 are better

I dropped 3 on chapter 8 I think, and went straight to 4. 4ā€™s beginning is much much better. I really dig the new character that you play. His story is interesting.

Ok, man, Yakuza Kiwami does NOT go easy on you. Like Iā€™m being bounced around like a goddamn rubber ball in some of these fights. Iā€™m going to have PTSD from that gambling house fight, I swearā€¦ Itā€™s a great game though.

But surely Iā€™m not the only one who thinks some of these fights in Kiwami are a tad bit brutal?

Hahaha yes. The boss fights in Kiwami are probably the most brutal for me.

Yakuza 0 got me used to the Rush style and i donā€™t really find the combat in some of these other games as enjoyable unfortunately. I think i am all in on them continuing the turn based combat of Like a Dragon.

Kiryus Yakuza 5 model is such a massive improvement over the 3 and 4 model. He no longer has those massive shoulders and blocky physique that made him look like a Roblox character. :joy:

Finished Yakuza 3 this morning. Was that the original version of the cabaret mini game? The other one is sooooo much better.

is it worth it in like a dragon to get to lvl 70 and beat the millennium tower dungeon in end game?

Yes. Yakuza 0 and Kiwami 2 perfected the carabet club and made it easily the best mini game in the entire series.

That depends on whether or not you want to move on to another game or are craving more Yakuza? I personally did it because I didnā€™t want the game to end.

That is my absolute favourite Mini Game in the series. The shareholder meeting in LAD is pretty good too.

Why is there sooo much side stuff to do in Yakuza? love the fact you can turn into a real sales man lol.

The Open World in Yakuza is gorgeous. Love all the shining signs. Ever part of the city looks like it belongs there really enjoy to walk through the city.

Gameplay has to be the weakest part in the game so far. Story is amazing but I canā€™t believe that some of those guys Kiru and Mashima beaten up havenā€™t died yet lol.

Some side missions are really charming, sadly not voiced

Finally starting Yakuza 3 today. I was just finishing up with the Resident Evil 2 and 3 remakes.

So you canā€™t pause cutscenes in Yakuza 3, and there is an option in the settings to skip cutscenes but with no question prompt beforehand. That sucksā€¦ is that also the case with Yakuza 4 and 5?

I think pressing the guide button pauses them? I did that in 4.

I just tried it and it only worked for the first cutscene. The other ones the game carried on. Very strange. So Yakuza 4 itā€™s fine? Thatā€™s good to know.

On the 2nd chapter now, and yeah itā€™s not easy playing this after Kiwami 2 but Iā€™ll probably get adjusted soon, at least from now on each game will be improved.

The good thing about 3, is that itā€™s pretty short. Plus thereā€™s a move youā€™ll learn from Komaki that makes every fight a breeze.

Thank god lmao. Not only is the game quite old but Iā€™m really not a fan of the combat, the enemies constantly blocking is just frustrating.

At least the game is colourful. Ryuku is a sight to behold, and I love how chilled out it is.

Itā€™s pretty short with the hardest completion if you go for all achievements. There are guides for the pool minigame which recommend to use a ruler.
