Yakuza 5 - I’m so burnt out on yakuza i had to put this one down. The pacing is slow and it feels bloated compared to the other games.
Yakuza 6 / LaD I’ll get there eventually
5 can be quite a drag, but it does pickup, but you could always just watch story on youtube if interested. Also for Yakuza games I always try to give myself a little break before moving onto the next one because you can burn out of them

I really do. Hopefully this bodes well for the series. They deserve more budget and recognition. I wonder how much effect Xbox purchases had?
Just pre-ordered Lost Judgment, I’m so goddamn hyped. Anybody else getting the game here? We’ve just got a little over a month to go.
Yup, I pre-ordered it in early July from the Canadian store because it was cheaper (it still is, I think)
I’m at the point of no return on Judgment right now and kind of dreading being RGG-less for the next month!
So I guess I have to confess that I cheated.
I dropped Yakuza 4 and got straight into 6. And I think that was the right decision. Yakuza 3, 4 and 5 (apparently) are just a chore. But 6, was amazing and a great conclusion to the series. I really wanted to see the end and I’m glad I got to play one last time with Kiryu Kazuma. Of course, I missed a lot of story bits from 4 and 5, but that was awesome nonetheless. It was emotional and the story was great, there was almost no padding or anything to distract you. It was perfect.
So I shouldn’t say that, but if you’re stuck on 4 or 5 and struggle a lot and fear of dropping the whole series, just jump straight into 6 and enjoy.
Also, the dragon engine and FPS Boost really helps a lot.
And I also tried Yakuza 7 and man, it’s true : it’s SO good. I really like the story and Yokohama. I thought I would hate the turn-based combat, but I love it ! It’s crazy how well Yakuza translates to a JRPG ! I just had to put it down for now to finish Judgement before the next one.
Yagami and Ichiban are great. Can’t wait for their next games.

Any plans to go back to 4 and 5, or are you just writing them off?
That’s why I said I cheated. 
People should play them in order and take their time to get through all of them. But I just wasn’t that patient and wanted to be done with it.
My ranking is also a bit weird :
At the moment, Yakuza 7 and Judgement would be above all of them.
I may get back to Y0, yes. 4 and 5, I may try to beat them maybe next year, if I feel like it.
Wait, you didn’t finish 0? The final chapters are like the best part of the game, lol. You’re missing out.

Finally starting Kiwami 2 after finishing DQ11. First impressions are that the graphics got a massive boost from Kiwami 1… But the 30fps is harsh lol.
I still haven’t played past Yakuza 5. Gonna play 6 and after on either a Series X or S depending on whichever I get, that FPS boost made me decide this.
I also bought Judgment when it was on sale a few weeks ago. That’s the first time I bought a game for a console that I don’t have yet lol.
Oh, by the way, you can pre-install Lost Judgment now. It’s around 50 GB.
Which version? Standard or Ultimate? Gonna go with the Ultimate due to the additional story stuff, don’t wanna miss out on it.
Both can be pre-installed. The standard is 50 GB, not sure how much storage the additional story DLC takes up.
I hope the extra content can be bought a la carte like in LAD.
