Yakuza / Like A Dragon |OT| That's Rad!

I’m in no rush, with Judgement I’ll have 9 games to play, ehehe

Pace yourself, Yakuza fatigue is real! I played 3 to 6 back to back and came out okay, but my friend burned out halfway through 5 after going 0-K-K2-LAD-3-4-5. He took a break by going to Judgment and burned out on that so he’s back to 5 now

Another nice thing about these games is that they’re all relatively cheap. Even if they leave Game Pass, you won’t break the bank getting them all.

Edit: For reference, if you wait for a sale, 0-6 will run you 9-14 USD apiece. Crazy good value.

Here’s the final interview video (for now, at least):

Yes, I’ll have a palate cleanser in between every entry (as well as all the stuff that’s joining Game Pass this year). Just worried if some of them will leave the subscription eventually, we’ll see.

I had a look at a spreadsheet on Reddit for you. Here are the dates they were apparently added to GP:

02/20: 0
04/20: Kiwami
07/20: Kiwami 2
01/21: 3, 4, and 5 Remastered
03/21: 6
06/21: Like a Dragon

So they’ve all been on there for under a year, aside from 0 and Kiwami. Those are both currently $20, and their historic lowest price is $10 (Kiwami 2 as well) according to xbdeals.

It’s no biggie, Xbox will purchase SEGA, right? Then they’ll never leave at all :stuck_out_tongue:

Funny because I had the exact opposite of Yakuza fatigue. I just can’t stop playing until finish every mainline game. I was lucky as well because 6 FPS boost enteredon game pass right when I was finishing 5.

Ha ha, that would solve this problem, and the Persona situation in one fell swoop!

The FPS boost timing worked out for me too, a great perk of the ecosystem for sure. I didn’t experience fatigue either, but I did space it out a bit and did K-7 in about 14 months. A decent clip considering I did a lot of completion list stuff

I started Yakuza 7 today without playing any of the other games, can I assume they are not related? Game is bloody hilarious, absolutely love it. Combat system is ace.

Anyone know how long the game is main story / completionist.

Yakuza 7 is related to the rest in some ways, but you don’t have to play them. There are some characters and organizations from the earlier games which would have more impact if you played the other games. But going to 7 is perfectly fine. 7 was also my first game.

As for how long, here’s what HowLongToBeat said. Should be accurate:

Awesome thanks, I’ll be going into Yakuza 0 after this one, just totally glued at the moment. That site is really useful, will bookmark it.

Is there any potencial reward to fishing?

Also, why are people giving me pocket tissues in the street?

You never know when these tissues might come in handy.

Depends on the game, but normally there is stuff on the completion list for it (which in some games you can use toward purchasing upgrades and there is almost always an achievement for overall completion) and rare fish that you can sell for a lot. Possibly some standalone achievements in some of the games also.

What if you have a restroom emergency? You’ll be glad to have those then. The real answer is that it’s a form of marketing in real Japan. The game answer is that it’s an annoying trap to fill up your inventory :stuck_out_tongue:

so far Yakuza 5 is the most boring game of the franchise dam

I’m on the road to 1000Ging Judgment. I finished all the Mahjong requirements today

You have to win 50 rounds (not full games thankfully LOL). I’m gonna be seeing Mahjong in my nightmares.

You may be the best of us.
