Animal well looked interesting. I tried counting how many times they said shadows in the trailer, might have been 21 but not sure.

I’ve heard nothing but good things about it.

Also, someone let me know if the RetroRealms thing should be minus two. It was one purchase, but technically it is two games. And they can be bought separately.

That would be a -2 then… But you would also get a point for each of the games when completed of course.

+1 Return of the Obra Dinn

Another spooky game for the month. I didn’t actually plan to complete it today, I just needed couple achievements for the Trick or Treat challenge on TA. But the walk through is written so that you get all the achievements at once. Good thing I really enjoyed it!

Loved that game - I managed to figure out the vast majority but yeah I needed to use a guide to get the last few people lol.

Can recommend The Case of the Golden Idol (it’s on Game Pass) if you liked this, as it’s similarly deductive (and also tells a dark story too)

+0 Halo: Spartan Assault (PC Game Pass). I think I own this on Xbox as it was free with Gold at some point but started a playthrough on PC 2 year ago so thought lets get this off the list. Was expecting it to be a straightforward playthrough but took a lot longer thanks to some difficulty spikes and it does seem to be levelled to get you to spend money on XP (no longer an available an option) to give options on loadouts. Anyway, not a bad twin shooter and as in the main games that damn needler is my downfall a lot.

  • +1 - Metroid Fusion (Wii U Virtual Console) - I still remember picking up the original for GBA, and it’s still just as solid of a Metroid entry. Cannot recommend it enough, and it’s on NSO for those that subscribe (since the Wii U eshop is no longer around).

  • -1 - Banishers (XSX) - Seeing the news about Dontnod, I had to do what I could… would have bought it much sooner but life and all that.

Great choice, Banishers is one of my favourite games of recent years - the relationship at the heart of it is interesting and heartfelt, the lore and setting are brilliantly detailed and believable and the gameplay is fun and can be dialled down so even people who struggle with coordination like me can get through it.

And the haunting cases are so good - months later I still mull over the choices I made and whether they were the right ones, they really do make the characters feel real and all-too human…

Your earlier discussions were definitely in the back of my mind when I was looking at it. Couldn’t be more excited to start it, but I’ve gotta ride the current wave my ADHD-addled brain is keeping me on… which currently consists of Mega Man X3 (which is damn difficult atm), Ara (I know it won’t count but it’s such a fun game), FIFA18, and Dragon Age: Inquisition (never beat it all those years ago and I had to restart because I had no idea what was going on).

I am not sure when to declare Outbreak Fedora Files: What Lydia Knows as complete. The titular game mode is a visual novel with at least 25 different endings. I have discovered about half of them so far, including the “good” ending and “bad” ending. But there’s also a bonus game included that’s a procedural turn based RPG. When would yall consider it completed? Have any guidance @Mort?

LEGO Indiana Jones 2: The Adenture Continues +1

Well, I really enjoy LEGO games but this one was not that good. The first Indy game was great, but the sequel just didn’t feel right. Half the game is focused on The Kingdom of the Crystal Skull which has very little appeal and half is once again the first three movies for some reason, but rushed through. The game feels incoherent and patched together, very uninspired.

It’s also extremely bloated, which is usually fun but just makes things worse when the game isn’t very good.

Disappointing.

I had a really similar opinion when I first played that one, it definitely wasn’t what I expected after having played the first game.

I think that sounds like you did what you could, being in the last part of it and all.

I have no idea what game this is, it would be easier if you played games anyone has heard of :joy:

Anyone?

Didn’t we just decide that the minimum for a point is completing the campaign?

Maybe we should ask Lydia. Whoever that is

It looks like a visual novel, with a bunch of endings, so it kind of is hard to say, if getting them all or getting all the achievements or getting all the major ones is what you need for something like that?

No! I want to support the small indie devs, playing their newest game which has… 25 players on TA! You can’t stop me! Lol
