A weird first person walking sim puzzler. It leaves game pass soon, so I needed to knock it out today or tomorrow. At least it’s another one to get me in the Halloween mood.

Almost forgot to update! Rather quiet week but a few points snuck in here and there.

Awesome!!! Final Fight is my all time favorite beat em up even though I do prefer Final Fight CD (Sega CD) version above all other versions. I’m still waiting for Capcom to announce/reveal the remake. Love Final Fight!!
Starfield: Shattered Space +0.5
Great expansion, if you like Starfield! It has a lot of the things one would expect of an expansion with a new area, a good story and quite a lot of side content and exploration.
The main quest is basically a new Faction quest, and about the same length as the others in the main game. I would rank it somewhere in the middle of those. There’s a whole bunch of side missions, with some being really great. The new area has a bunch of new POI to discover, which adds to the “new” feel of it all, it was fun to explore.
I would have wished for more Va’ruun crafting things, for outposts (there is a few) and ships (there is none) in particular.
I spent about 40 hours before I was done. Solid expansion!
I’m planning to spend my xmas vacation with Starfield. Didn’t get too far in main game but reading this I may need more than Xmas lol.
It’s very easy to sink hours into this game
I would set aside a big chunk of time for it indeed. It depends on playstyle of course, but there’s a lot of content here.
+1 Juju (360)
A fairly mediocre platformer with cute graphics and a frustrating difficulty spike for the final boss. It’s an okay game in the end. But I didn’t really enjoy it all that much.
+1 As Dusk Falls
I know it’s in Game Pass but this was one where I wanted to encourage them to make more stuff like it so…
The main reason I hadn’t finished this 2 years ago is because I was trying to play with family and couldn’t get them to commit to being available, then got sucked into everything else. Finally just gave up on that and went on my own.
This is a really good story game that shows how different choices can lead to very different endings, people living or not, etc. It’s also interesting for characters feeling like they’re trapped in their situation whether they’re the victim or the “bad guy” and made me think a little about how people end up where they are. This game really did a good job with what it was trying to do, and while the artistic flow may not be everyone’s cup of tea, it felt stylistic and intentional and seems like it will age well. I’m really looking forward to another game from this team. My biggest complaint is not knowing the identity of someone who appears at the end of the game, but I’m wondering if they were setting that up to go for another game. It seems like a prequel examining the grandpa and his connection to the area would make sense if they wanted to stick with it.
-1 Tainted Grail
A game I enjoyed on game pass but didn’t finish, so I added it to the wishlist. It randomly appeared on sale this week.
I really enjoyed this game too. I should replay it some day, to explore more paths.
I gotta say, this challenge to complete stuff is making me find some interesting patterns in what games I really like. I may be able to cut down on some of what I get in the future from knowing my tastes better, but also be able to know there are certain ones that don’t get that much attention that I’ll probably love.
+1 Dirt 3
The race season ended Saturday, so I was looking for something racey to play. Turns out I completed the story of this game earlier this year and missed adding it to the initial “catch up” list. Hopefully it’s not against the rules to report a point for something late.
It’s not
+1? Creepy Tale 2
I made it to the last section of the game, which requires me to find a secret path through a foggy swamp at night. You are supposed to see bubbles and avoid them. You also can’t stop moving or you sink in, even in the “safe” area. With my bad vision, I couldn’t see the bubbles quick enough to make it. I memorized the first part, but got frustrated trying to find the rest of the route. Is that far enough for a point @Mort ?
Time for an update:
SUBTRACTION PARTY!
That is - 8.5
Total = -1
Honestly I feel like anyone who ends up either breaking even or with a positive score for the year is a winner in this. I don’t know if I’ve got FEAR 3 or not but I’ve got some of the others on disc to play at some point as well. I did the trial of the original on my pc when it came out but my pc couldnt handle it. I should hook up my 360 by our exercise bike and play it for Halloween.
The sale last week got me. Bunch of cheapies.
Definitely!
