Man, I swear I’m trying… but my brain is a bit of an ass.
Costume Quest +1 Grubbins on Ice DLC + 0.5
Both lovely bite sized Halloween themed RPG goodness that doesn’t out stay its welcome. I played and completed the sequel when released and have no idea why I didn’t get around to playing the original.
I actually remember watching and enjoying the cartoon when my kids when pretty young.
I’m halfway way yakuza 6 and have been loving them but must admit I tend to read the subtitles quickly and skip forward a lot unless its a big scene. Its great seeing the place change over the years too. Its a series I’ll fondly remember and still have 2 judgment games and LAD in backlog of bought games. And of course they’ve released more since
A few days back, I remembered I bought Sleeping Dogs last year when it was on sale . I decided to replay it (previously, it was the only game on PC I ever beat) and, jeez, I forgot how good it was.
Great game and I liked that dlc also. I’d not be sad to see another costume quest at some point, if they felt like it and didn’t have other stuff planned.
It’s far better than it was ever given credit for imo. I love that game and it managed to tell a compelling story when it could have been a copy/paste triad story. Had a phenomenal cast (Emma Stone’s in it for the unaware, for example) and the game flow/activities felt just right.
Sleeping Dogs is what I wish GTA would grow more into gameplay wise.
I wonder if that’s why I have such a hard time getting into Rockstar titles. They have their own kind of jank to them.
Just finished Wolfenstein: The Old Blood finally. Great lead-up to New Order. Legit consider the MachineGames’ Wolfenstein games to be the best reboot of a classic franchise.

+1: Slay the Spire.
This gameplay loop is really good, tons of depth. I don’t know why I haven’t played this sooner
It’s really good. It was a surprise for me because I don’t usually enjoy 2d (2.5d?) platformers
Yakuza 6 completed. Not sure how I feel as thats been quite a run through the series. Luckily there is more to come but probably not until later in year and maybe Judgment for a different experience. Might have a week off as been quiet a January with 2 big games and 3 in total off the backlog. Will probably dip into Xenoblade Chronicles 2 as next game before adding anything new to playlist.
A lot of movement again on the leaderboard this past week, lots of games being removed from backlogs!
Just beat Sonic Adventure 2 (Xbox 360)… this game will still have a special place in my heart, but I think at this point it’s best to stay in the memory vault because good gods was that a miserable revisit. Has not aged well whatsoever and I would say it’s probably the worst 3D Sonic that I can recall.

+1 Spider-Man 2
Total 4.5
Finally (literally, 2 straight months of playing nothing else) I can add Baldur’s Gate 3 to the “done” Pile.

Gratz! It’s a huge game indeed.
Absolutely massive, and I tried to do everything I could in it. I don’t regret the time spent, but I don’t expect to play anything that long in the near future. Or far future. Or until the next Elder Scrolls or Witcher comes out.
Scoring update: MLB the Show '23 → Wrapped up the last few achievements +1.
Purchased: Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League → -1.
Net Gain: 0 Total Score: +1
I’m in the middle of my playthrough and I’m also very thorough, it’s a really good game. Love it!
There will be a bunch of much, much shorter games after this though, hehe.
I spent about 7 1/2 weeks just exploring and doing everything, and then wrapped up all of Act 3 in about 3 consecutive days. Like 3, 12 hour days, ignoring work emails, my 14 month old, and my wife. A man has priorities!
