  1. The current state is 3. decent. The games are diverse, but we are in anticipation of a lot of games. If those live up to their expectations, then it can become a 5. Great quickly!

One.

Halo Infinite

I would love to chose another, “Avowed” sounds interesting but Halo is the only one I’ve seen enough of to be genuinely excited. I love an open world (or semi-open like Halo is supposed to be), and being able to approach different objectives in different ways and maybe help build up NPC support would be my thing.

I’m not sure why I place Bethesda so “high”, out of all the other studios. This gen (I mean last gen) Bethesda have most frequently disappointed me. I kinda hope MS are able to encourage them into better shape though, so I’m cautiously optimistic.

Three.

3 - Decent

They have a great stable now, better than a long time. The proof of the pudding though is in the eating, personally I would like to see some more “E” rated and casual stuff from them. Like @peter42O says too, I’d kinda like a big bombastic single player experience there without any additional hooks, beginning middle and end, where its value is measured in extravagence not in seasons or battlepasses. It’s an excellent base though.

Three 5 - Great

As someone who came to the Xbox platform in 2001 from PC, what drew me were the shooters and Western RPGs. Also have a thing for sandbox/dynamic gameplay. Xbox 1st party has those on lockdown.

Fable, Halo Infinite, Everwild

But for the sake of this survey I pick…Halo Infinite

Honestly outside of undead lab and machine games (sorry🥺) I have high hope’s for every studio.
