I’m worried that the Horizon VR2 bundle exists. Seems like a Sony thing to do would be make the base model super rare and the bundle model the only version available.

I have no idea how Sony expects VR to take off at those prices, im so glad MS is focusing on cloud and accessibility over this

Paying more than the price of a console for a device I wouldn’t want to use all the time like a controller that will get mnay times less support than the actual console itself but maybe im just not the target audience, although I don’t expect the audience that will be interested will be particularly large either

Thanks, I think we’ll be staying in Kensington.

Thought about that one, love Agatha Christie. Is Harrod’s anything like the Macy’s in NYC for Christmas display? That’s an incredible one for sure!

VR has an enthusiastic following, I think it’s more that than a loyal fanbase, loyal fanbase has its limits.

With these prices it seems their goal is more to make a profit and not to make VR mainstream or even sell more than PSVR1. Will be interesting to see how good 3rd party support will be for such expensive device which needs higher budget games to impress.

I won’t pretend to speak for everyone but I can explain why PlayStation VR2 appeals to me personally.

I have a strong nostalgia for light gun games. This is basically an expensive light gun experience.

I have a long nostalgia for VR in general, or more to the point “the idea of VR”. Star Trek Next Generation’s Holodeck is probably largely to blame.

I get excited for new console launches.

I have (probably unrealistic) expectations for this. I want to visit Jurassic Park and shoot dinosaurs, I want to shoot Star War storm troops, walk around Avatar’s Pandora, step up to the plate at an MLB stadium, throw passes in NFL stadiums, punch out Mike Tyson
 stuff like that.

€600 in Europe

That price is too high imo, but Sony fans and scalpers are going to be buying it regardless of it being a bad deal .

Oh, right. I forgot about scalpers meaning that the prices will be even higher.

What does any of this have to do with PSVR 2??? :stuck_out_tongue:

Being serious, your expectations are too HIGH in my opinion. If you owned PSVR for PS4, how was that for you? If it wasn’t amazing, I would absolutely lower my expectations going into PSVR 2 if I was you.

But it’s your time and money so do whatever makes you happy bud.

I played several games on my friend’s PSVR and found it cool but underwhelming. Now that PS5 is more powerful I expect more realistic experiences.

Worst case scenario it’s a cool light gun experience, best case scenario I have endless ideas for VR games. Ideally 100 or more of my favorite movies all get a vr game lol

Iv seen a lot of cool stuff being made in VR

Like the other day I saw somebody had made VR in MGS1, travelling around Shadow Moses and headshotting people, it was very cool but not ÂŁ600 cool, not to mention only available on PC

Until they find a way of making it cheap and accesible VR is a no go imo

I don’t see VR ever taking off like people expected honestly, how long has it been since this latest push and it’s still not big. Kinect sold more than most VR headsets lol.

Sometimes I think a large swath of gamers are convinced that games are made by developers clicking their heels together three times and wishing the game into existence.

VR has to become seamless to take off. Like in the movies.

the price of the PS VR2 would probably be more tangible, if it was backwards compatible and worked on PC out of the box.

the lack of these two things (especially the latter) makes it a hard no.
